| Heath POV |
"Whose all putting up for the keg then?" Zane shouted as he attempted to make a list of everything they would need for the party.
"Me," most of the guys said in unison.
Zane jot down their names. "Ok we have plates, cups, napkins, soda, and the beer keg." He looked at his list proudly.
"And what are we gonna eat? You know for actual thanksgiving dinner?" Heath asked them all.
"Oh shit, can we buy premade a turkey?" Scott immediately pulled out his phone to search it up.
"Oh my god. How are we having a thanksgiving dinner with no food?" Heath was somehow unsurprised that this was the situation they were currently in.
"Look it says here we can cater from Boston Market," Scott turned over the phone to show his friends.
"It says they only sell slices though," Todd pointed out. "We'll have to order a shit ton of turkey for everyone who's invited."
Kristen walked through the door in that moment to find all the guys gathered in the kitchen. She walked over to where Scotty was sitting, planting a kiss on his cheek and sitting on his lap. "What are you all up to?" she asked as she noticed the concern look on all their faces.
"We're trying to figure out if we can cater some food for Thursday," Scotty pointed out as he continued searching different places to buy an already made turkey from.
"What? No way, we have to make the turkey. It's thanksgiving, most places won't even be open." She announced. "You guys didn't plan this dinner out properly did you?"
"No," the men groaned.
"If someone can go buy a turkey today I'll make it. You can be my little helper," she kissed the tip of Scotty's nose.
Immediately, Toddy and Heath left to the supermarket knowing it would most likely be packed by last minute shoppers like themselves.
They found an affordable turkey, a few boxes of mashed potatoes, veggies in cans, smoked ham, and three cases of premade mac and cheese. They were surprised to have found everything they need despite having to wait almost half an hour in line. The party was so last minute but once everyone was drunk no one would even care so it would all be worth it.
| Sabrina POV |
Things at work were going better than ever. Everyday Sabrina was enjoying her time more and more in LA. And everyday she thought about her past a little less. The only thing that still lingered in her mind was the thought that she could run into two specific people at any moment. Thus far, luck was on her side.
"Are you flying back home for Thanksgiving?" Kristen asked Sabrina as she filed the last of her paperwork of the day.
"No, maybe for Christmas. What are your plans?" Sabrina responded while she sat across from Kristen. It was the Wednesday before Thanksgiving weekend and she couldn't wait to just be home and relax for the next few days.
"My boyfriend's friends are throwing a party. You should come." Kristen beamed with excitement at the thought.
"Oh, thank you but I think I'm just gonna stuff my face with some carry out and watch some movies." Sabrina politely declined.
"Come on, Sabrina. You can't spend Thanksgiving alone. It's a family day, yours aren't here and I'm your friend practically family meaning you should spend it with me. " Kristen smiled her contagious goofy smile.
"Fine," Sabrina finally gave in to Kristen's invite. Deep down she knew it would be better than spending the holiday alone and she was grateful to have a friend in Kristen. It would be good to socialize and network with other people in LA who could contribute to new ideas, she was a journalist after all and she hadn't really been exploring the city as much as she should. This would be a great opportunity all around.
Thursday morning, Sabrina felt refreshed after sleeping in and taking a warm bath before heading to the convenience store across the street that happened to be open. She bought a frozen pizza to have for lunch and a bottle of wine to take over to Kristen's later.
She dressed in a forest green dress with brown booties, the weather was a bit cooler than usual but it felt just right. She twisted two strands of hair and clipped them in the back with hair clips. Time flew and eventually her uber was pulling up to Denny avenue. Multiple cars were parked along the driveway of the corner house and she began to grow a little nervous as she feared the one bottle of wine wouldn't be enough. She walked up to door and rang the doorbell.
"I'm so glad you came, come on in!" Kristen greeted her in.
The house was packed! One bottle of wine for sure wouldn't be enough for everyone here. The living room was crowded with people on their phones and cameras pulled out and in the kitchen another group of people bantering with laughter.
"Sabrina, this is Liza and Gabbie," Kristen pulled Sabrina into the small kitchen area.
"Hey," said Gabbie.
"Hi girl," Liza greeted excitedly.
Sabrina felt like she had seen them somewhere but couldn't exactly pinpoint where from. Maybe they stopped by for interviews at the office.
Kristen pulled her along making their way to what looked like the backyard where there were even more people when suddenly Sabrina slammed right into someone's back.
"Oh sorry I didn't mean-" she said as the guy turned around.
"Sab?" Heath was as confused as she was to see her.
