| Heath's POV |

Heath called up Donna, asking her to come out with him again because of how much of a great time they'd had the first time. Using recycled words he didn't even know how many times he has used in the past to hook up with a girl more than once. He asked her to bring along some of her girls and she agreed.

Heath, Donna and Zane met up at a restaraunt with Ken and the rest of his frat brothers. Donna's friends came in a little a later and were soon paired off with some of Ken's brothers. There was a lot of conversing and shots going on so pretty soon they headed out to a bar down the street.

Heath tried to have fun but he kept his eye on Ken. So far, whenever a girl approached him they would talk for a few seconds, then she would walk away and he'd laugh about something with his buddies. Heath started to think maybe Ken wouldn't be capable of doing that to Sab, at least not in front of her friends.

But just as Heath approached Ken to buy him some drinks he overheard his conversation.

"Dude, these Florida girls are easy as hell. I could bag any of these chicks right now," Ken said laughing and cheering.

Heath felt his body fill with rage. In this moment he could do two things. One, he could go up to Ken grab him by the collar of his itty bitty tight ass man blouse, and rock him square on the face until his nose was broken. Or two, he could leave this damn bar and avoid any type of drama. He chose the latter.

Heath didn't even tell Zane he was leaving and felt bad for leaving him alone with a pack of wolves like that.

The only thought going through his mind right now was Sab and how unfair this whole situation was to her. How could she be with such a sleaze like Ken? Maybe Sab didn't really know what type of man he really was and maybe she needed to know.

Sab

H: hey baby girl
H: u up?

S: hey, yep. Just got done watching a movie
S: can you imagine the world being run by apes one day?

H: I think we're close enough lol

S: so true! Lol

S: whats up? Aren't you supposed to be getting ratchet right now?

H: Wasn't feeling too well

S: since when is Heath not up for drinking?

H: hey every man needs a breather once in a while ok

S: sure, did the frat brothers take all the girls or something?

H: yup that's exactly it

H: hey remember when we'd walk to the silver diner drunk off our asses?

S: um yes, we only did that 1000 times

S: how did we never get caught?

H: come on baby, you know you were with pros only

S: yea right, that's why you would be the first to throw
up your food soon as we stepped outside

H: baby, you know it was the humidity
H: I'm a tough cookie bitch, I haven't thrown up since

And that's how the rest of night went. They texted for another hour and Heath never wanted it to end. He can't remember the last time they texted so long. It made him feel warm, like the past four years hadn't happened. They talked so much he even forgot about the whole situation with Ken. Heath came to the conclusion that just because he said it didn't mean he would do anything, hopefully.

The next day Heath met up with Zane to work on some vines. After lining up a few to have for the next couple of days, Heath apologized to Zane for leaving so early.

"No sweat, boo. I honestly didn't even notice you were gone," Zane chuckled.

"Thanks bitch," Heath pursed his lips.

"Nah, it was a bit fucked up. I wish you could have been there," Zane started shaking his head.

"What happened?" Heath asked.

"I don't want to start shit because this is just what I saw. I mean it doesn't mean anything happened,"

"What is it Zane?" Heath was getting impatient.

"Ken ended up walking out with one of Donna's friends. I mean he could have just been calling a taxi for her but I didn't see either of them again for the rest of the night." Zane didn't say more.

Heath was quiet filling up with more rage than before. How could that bastard, preppy, son of a bitch do this to Sabrina?

Speaking of the devil.

Ken - Barbie Doll

KBD: Heath! You always come through!
KBD: Thanks man! My buddies had the time of their lives
KBD: I'm sure the girls did too, haha
KBD: You're a good pal, I can see why Sabrina loves you so much
KBD: That's why I wanted to ask you bro. I know you're like her brother
KBD: And it only feels right to get your blessing
KBD: I want to ask Sabrina to marry me

Heath stood frozen.

Zane noticed he wasn't moving for some time now. "Heath, you good?"

No response.

"Heath, baby, look. That girl's shirt is way too low," Zane tried to get his attention but nothing worked.

"I have to go," he finally spoke.

Sab

H: Meet me at the cliff

S: ok

Heath drove toward the coast and waited at their favorite spot for what felt like forever until Sabrina finally arrived.

"Hey, Heath," she spoke in her sweet tone. Oh god, Heath would have to shatter her good mood and possibly her heart.

"Hey," he hugged her then sat on the rock. Sabrina followed.

"I can't remember the last time we were here together," Sabrina looked out into the water.

"Spring break, senior year," Heath said.

He remembers because Sabrina's grandfather had just been diagnosed with cancer and she was so devastated this was the only place she wanted to come to.

"Oh, yeah," Sabrina put her head down remembering.

"Why do you love, Ken? Sab," Heath asked out of nowhere. He figured this was his only chance.

"What?" Sabrina nervously laughed as her face turned red.

"What is it about him?" Heath held his serious tone.

"He just gets me," Sabrina started to speak. "He cares about me, not that anyone hasn't before but he's always so attentive making sure I have everything I need. He cheers me up when I'm sad and we like a lot of the same stuff."

Heath could see the light in her eyes and that goofy smile on her face when she talked about something she really liked. Heath couldn't take that happiness away from her no matter how much of a scum Ken is.

"Why the question?" Sabrina asked curiously afterwards.

"Just wondering. I'm happy for you, Sab" was all he could say.
