I Got These Fresh Eyes

"Okay, follow the pen without moving your head."

I roll my eyes for like the fifth time today but, do as Eleanor tells me to do. My eyesight has become clear after a couple of hours but, there's still a dull throb behind them. Clementine hasn't left my side since we walked over to the medical building. My hand clenches the chair I'm sitting in as another throb pounds inside my head. Eleanor notices my grimace and leaves to go find me something for my migraine. I close my eyes and lean back into my chair before feeling a hand grab my own. I open my eyes and see Clementine looking worriedly at me.

"Are you okay, Gabe?"

I smile at her and lean up to kiss her cheek. I'm fascinated by the color that rushes into her cheeks from my kiss and make a note to always try to make her blush.

"It's just a little throb, I'll be fine. Any word on where Javi is?"

"Um, I think Eleanor said he and Kate went on a run together. They'll be back later tonight."

I shoot Clementine a devious smile that causes her to cock an eyebrow at me.

"You want to help me mess with Javi and Kate?"

"Hell fucking yeah I do."

Eleanor released me after giving me my pain medication and me and Clementine went through what we're going to do to Javi and Kate.

"Okay, so here's the plan. You will put blindfolds on Javi and Kate and put them in the backseat of their car. You'll tell them that I have a surprise for them and you're taking them to me. But, I will sneak into the car and I'll be in the drivers seat. Then, I'll take off their blindfolds and drive them around like a mad person. Plus, I'll be keeping on my sunglasses so they won't catch on. And yes, I know how to drive. I'm not the best but, it'll do."

Clementine is on the ground laughing and holding her stomach by the time I finish telling her my plan. I smile at her and still can't get over how beautiful she is and how lucky I am to have her. I get all warm and fuzzy thinking about it and can't help but to lean down and kiss her. Clementine stops laughing and kisses me back, her fingernails slightly scraping my head. I shiver at the sensation and put my hands on her hips to pull her closer. I'm lost in the kiss and jump at the feel of something wet and warm poking my lips.

Holy shit. That's her tongue.

I grant her access and feel her tongue caress mine. I groan at the feeling and go to attack her mouth even more but, a knock on the door makes us separate. We're both gasping for air and look at Carl standing by door with a smirk on his face.

"Just wanted you guys to know that Javi and Kate called on the radio and they're 5 minuets out."

"Uh thanks, Carl."

He nods his head at me and turns around to exit. You know, he looks way different than what I pictured him as. I imagined a buff blonde headed guy with a magnificent beard and at least 6'2. Imagine my surprise when I seen him and his shaggy dark brown hair that almost covered his face. He wasn't buff but, he wasn't scrawny either. Carl doesn't have a beard and his face looks as smooth as a baby's bottom. Hell, I'm taller than him and I don't know why he always called me blind guy when he's missing a fucking eye. The others are exactly how I imagined them and the only ones I haven't seen are Javi and Kate. Speaking of them.

"Gabe, you ready to do this?"

"Hell yeah, babe. Let's go."

I smiled real big when I seen a blush cover Clem's face from her nickname but, we went outside anyways. I hid behind a house while Clementine directed Javi and Kate over here with their car. I watched Clementine walk towards the gate and nearly fell over looking at her and her retreating figure. She glanced back at me, as if feeling my stare, and cocked an eyebrow at me. I immediately went behind the house and hid myself from her looks. I took the time to cool myself down and heard the sound of a car approaching. I smiled widely at what was to come and slipped on my sunglasses.

"Alright, you guys stay here and keep your blindfolds on while I go get Gabe. I'll be right back."

The sound of a car door opening and closing was my cue and I hurried over towards the sound. Clementine was climbing out of the car and I could see Javi and Kate in the backseat with blindfolds on. I smiled at her and gave her a quick kiss before entering the car.

"So, Clem, how's Gabe been treating you?"

I smiled at Javi's question and put the car in drive.

"Like a queen, Uncle Javi. Like a queen."

I seen them both yank off their blindfolds as I sped off down the street. Their screams were hilarious and I found myself smiling so wide it hurt my face. Clementine was standing in the middle of the street at the end and I caught on to her plan. I sped up towards her and Javi and Kate went ballistic.

"GABE, YOU'RE GOING TO HIT CLEMENTINE! GABE! STOP! GODDAMNIT, WHO TOLD YOU COULD DRIVE? YOU'RE BLIND! WAS IT RICK?! I'M GOING TO KILL RICK!"

"GABRIEL, STOP! SHE'S MY ONLY CHANCE AT GETTING GRANDCHILDREN! GABE!"

I stopped within inches of Clementine and gave her a toothy smile before looking back at Javi and Kate. Their jaws are almost touching the bottom of the car as I take off my sunglasses and give them a smirk.

"Well, aren't you two a sight for sore eyes."
