Chapter 1: A Summer To Remember

Maddie pov

Today was the first day of summer.

I got out of bed, brushed my teeth, and went to my closet for something to wear. I went basic and slipped on some shorts and a crop top. I slipped my sleek brown hair in a bun and went downstairs.

"Where are you going?" I asked my brother hunter.

"Football with the guys today." he said slipping on his Nike's. "Oh." i replied grabbing a granola bar.

"Bye!" He shut the door before I could respond. I turned on the tv and not long after, my phone started to ring.

"Hello?"

"Hey!" Audrey yelled through the phone. 'what's uppp' I said, still kind of groggy from waking up.

"come on wake up. its summer! I'm coming over." "Oka-" she hung up the phone.

7 minutes later Audrey rolled into the driveway and didn't hesitate to knock. "Ready?"

"Where are we even going?" I questioned. "The park. I passed by a bunch of cute guys playing football."

I rolled my eyes. I made sure to lock the door behind me as we walked to her white Honda.

"Oh cheer up!" Audrey said. "We're gonna be seniors next year!" She turned up the radio as we drove off.
