This morning. I wake up with my head filled with last night's pictures. We finished around two o'clock, chatting in the club's parking lot with Lisa and Matt.

Colin left early. Apparently, Doris wouldn't let it go...

Ryan asked me to call one of our partners's on an urgent matter. As the conversation ends, I hear a knock at the door.

I quickly get up to go and open.

Matt is proudly standing in the doorway, carrying two drinks.

Matt:"Hey. Is this Mr. Carter's assistant's office?"

T:"No, it's a little further down! But you can leave the drinks with me..."

Matt:"Ooh-la-la!!"

Matt whistles as he takes a look around. His head is moving from left to right while his eyes examine the room in detail.

Matt:"Very chic!"

I giggle watching Matt marvel at the room. His expression quickly becomes cheeky.

Matt:"Say! You've got a cute secretary."

T:"I don't know. With me, all the secretaries on this floor are like mini Cassidy's : unpleasant and scornful."

Matt:"Who knows? Maybe they all secretly harbour the hope of taking her place... They  might even worship her in secret."

T:"You're right, Cassidy should be the guru for all the company's bitches!!"

We both burst into laughter while talking a sip of our drink.

T:"Thank you for yesterday, Matt. I can't tell you how much I appreciated it!"

Matt:"Yeah. We should do that more often."

Matt's eyes fall on the buildings behind the window.

Matt:"So, where's the great Manitou?"

T:"What, does it excite you to see what he looks like?"

Matt:"So much so!! Multi-billionaire CEO's have always had that effect on me!!"

Matt:"I've tried group therapy on the subject but it's no use... I'm a real little sl..."

I give him a nudge.

T:"I don't know. In actual fact, I never know where he is. He's always on the go."

Matt:"His office must be incredible, no?"

T:"You've no idea how... It's practically as big as our open plan office."

Matt:"What does he do in it? Play golf...? Get massaged by beautiful Thai girls? He..."

I give him a nudge to stop him from going on.

T:"By the way, did things settle between Colin and Doris?"

Matt:"Between those two, it's a love-hate relationship. I think if things chill one day, it'll either be because one of them's dead or just weary."

T:"Why's it like that between them?"

Matt:"I don't know, it's how they operate. Say, if you're wanting to worm things out of me, you should be more discreet!"

I stare at him, a little offended.

Matt:"He's giving a concert, tonight. If you're thinking of letting your hair down after work then you should come!"

T:"Why not! I'll be there!"

Matt:"Ok! Right... I'll leave you to it, your ladyship the assistant. I bid you good day."

He bows down theatrically before leaving the room.

I see him poke his head back round the door frame as I settle back down at my desk.

Matt:"Can you really not fix things up with the secretary for me?"

I throw paper ball at him but he's already in the hallway, laughing his head off.
