Matt and Colin are standing in front of Bob's van as I arrive.

Matt smiles at me warmly and hugs me. Colin just smiles.

Matt:"I've ordered for you. I got the usual."

T:"Thanks, Matt!"

Bob is really popular among New Yorker's who eat on the go. It's better to order before office lunch hours if you don't want to have to wait.

T:"So how are you both? What's new on the 42nd floor?"

Matt:"Well... Guess what, I'm soon gonna have a new co-worker... Gabriel's taking care of it."

Colin:"Do you think he's gonna hire another hot chick?"

Matt:"Don't be jealous Colin... Are there no hot chicks where you are?"

Colin:"No... Just a bunch of deadly boring geeks..."

Matt:"What like you, you mean?"

Colin:"Shut it, Matt."

Ah... Those two... Always so affectionate... They get on like chalk and cheese but fundamentally love each other.

I giggle watching them arguing like kids. You'd say they were an old couple.

T:"At least neither of you have cranky secretaries on your floor..."

They both smile at me.

Bob shouts the names of our three sandwiches in his usual style and Colin goes to get them. He hands them to us.

T:"How much do I owe you?"

Colin:"No worries, it's on me."

T:"Oh, thanks..."

Matt:"Now that Colin has a fan club, the least he can do is buy us lunch!"

Colin:"Leave it Matt..."

T:"Oh yes, the concert!... I'm sorry I couldn't come..."

Colin:"Doesn't matter."

Matt:"You missed out the fun, angel! It was unreal!"

Colin:"Yeah."

Matt looks at Colin amused.

Matt:"Seriously man, you could be a little more explicit! It was awesome!"

(Colin explicit just wouldn't be Colin.)

Colin:"I'm saving my energy for the stage... And for my... fans."

Matt:"Oh, right..."

They both look at each other with cheeky smiles. I roll my eyes sighing.

T:"Guys..."

Matt:"How about you, miss the assistant, what was the charity ball like...?"

(I lie.)

T:"It was... good."

I bite into my sandwich looking disappointed.

Matt:"Wow... You look like you had loads of fun."

T:"You don't have fun at that kinda do, Matt. You drink Champagne, you eat petits fours and listen to speeches."

Matt looks at me sideways. I can tell that he's about to clown around.

Matt:"All these evening receptions are so boriiiing..."

He puts on a high-pitched voice, raising his little finger. Colin laughs.

I give him a nudge, he almost drops his sandwich.

Matt:"Oh... my... god! I nearly split this absolutely exquiiiisite ketchup on my priceless suit... You really are clumsy, young laaaady."

He's incorrigible.

(They don't talk like that.)

T:"Luckily, they don't really talk like that..."

Matt:"Ah yeah?"

T:"Myeah... Then again, I wouldn't know, it's not like I spoke to anybody."

Matt:"Really? You didn't... go"networking"?"

Matt says this last word in a mocking tone.

T:"No. I preferred to leave before the end and my boss didn't very much appreciate it."

They both look at me sceptically.

T:"Yeah... I know. I got a nice lecture about it this morning..."

Colin:"Hey, this little Tayla is a rebel..."

Matt burst out laughing at Colin's sarcastic tone. Evidently, I've gone up in Collin's estimation.

T:"Oh alright, alright..."
