"Okay, obviously, you have to sit with us." Christina say, dragging me to the cafeteria.

"What if I wanted to sit in the corner like a loner?" I ask sarcastically.

"Then we would sit with you." She responds.

I laugh, letting her pull me to their table. Of course, they are right in the middle of the cafeteria. I set down my jacket on my chair, and go to the lunch line. I grab a salad with chicken on it, some grapes, and two slices of some super-fudgy looking chocolate cake.

I pay, and head back to our table. Everybody is already talking, so I just start eating my salad.

"So, Six, are you going to the Summer Soiree?" Christina asks, pulling my attention away from food.

I roll my eyes, "Some school dance? I don't think so."

She laughs, "Oh, the dance is just the beginning. After every school event the Pedrad's have a raging party, with practically the whole entire school invited."

I shrug, "I guess that would be more fun. When is it?"

"Marlene and I are always the main party planners, we were thinking next Friday, as a school kick off of sorts." She says, "And I am taking you shopping next week for it."

I laugh, "Nice try, I'll wear some jeans and a nice shirt."

She gasps, "Six, you can't do that! It is a formal dance!"

I roll my eyes again, "Whatever, you can dress me up but I won't say I like it."

She squeals, bursting my eardrum again.

I just ignore her mindless babbling, and eat my grapes. Finally, I get to eat some of this delicious looking cake. I pull it to me, mouth watering. As my fork cuts a piece, I notice literally all eyes are on me. Not only are the people at this table staring, but it seems like the whole section of the cafeteria.

"What?" I ask, looking around awkwardly.

"You are about to eat your first piece of Dauntless cake." Zeke says, staring intently.

I shrug, "It's just cake. How good could it-"

The second it touches my mouth, I moan. Damn, that was weird. The flavor is so incredibly rich, and it feel like it is heaven on my tongue.

A few people cheer, the other just smile approvingly.

"What is this shit made of, liquid hopes and dream?" I ask sarcastically.

Uriah laughs, "No, Six. Nobody knows what it is made of. However, eating that cake means you officially initiated into Divergent High!"

I get back onto my motorcycle, saying my goodbyes to everyone. Before I can get my helmet on, somebody walks over. I recognize him as Four, that guy from first period.

"Hey, what's up?" I ask, grinning.

"Just...wanted to say hi, I guess. It's really cool seeing somebody with more than 2 powers as well. You stole my crown, Six." He says, chuckling a little at the end.

I smile, "Well I don't feel bad, how was it being the king of the school before me?" I ask.

"Oh, I wasn't. Usually I hang out with a specific group, but they turned into total jerks this year, so I'm alone." He looks down, obviously a little irritated.

"Well, people are assholes, what can I say." I sigh, giving him a tiny smirk.

He laughs, "That's for sure. Well, see you around Six."
