I've looked for him everywhere, everyone's looked for him everywhere. He was searched for in his home, in the places he sneaks off to, the teachers searched the entire school. Nobody with mind manipulation could track him, or even get a signal of his life force. He was there, and now he wasn't. We're all scared, and the principal won't be taking this lightly.

David has started, he's gotten Peter.

"Bea, anything?" Tobias grabs my shoulder, pulling my mind from the depths of deep thought.

"Still, nothing, just like the last ten minutes. He's gone, and you know why.

The others join us, sitting across the gym floor. My body is relaxed, legs folded underneath me, hands at my knees.

The ability of mind manipulation is a vast one, that makes it rare. Mind manipulation, essentially, is tapping into ones head, exploring those possibilities, and performing those actions. That's why, people such as myself, can do a wide range of abilities, simply stemming from one. It includes tracking one's mind, controlling what they do, reading ones mind, forcing them to be truthful, among other things. Every single one of us with this ability has been tracking Peter, but nobody has come up with him.

This means one of two things.

The first is simple, albeit ruthless. Peter could be dead. That act is not above David, knowing what he put me through, and that monster would do anything to discover our secrets. He has killed before, and would be willing to do so again. He will make sure his message is sent, no matter the cost, but nobody can give themselves up.

The second possibility, which is what we should hope for, is the chance that he is being captive in one of his wave proof rooms. Essentially, these rooms are resistant to any communication or tracking we send out. I myself was placed in one to test the full extent of my ability, which nearly destroyed me.

"Six, snap out of it. You've tried, it's up to the police now." Christina says, placing a hand on my shoulder.

I breath out, tears threatening my eyes, "Peter is an asshole, sure, but I don't wish that on my worst enemy. David is a demon on earth, nobody deserves to be condemned to a hell like his."

Tobias sits next to me, and I let go of all of the thoughts in my mind. His arms wrap me in a tight hold, and I try my best to keep from bursting into cries, "It's not just that he is going to be with David. It's that... this has started. He's the first of many to be taken, I know his plan. He tried it in California, but it didn't work."

For a second, I think it wouldn't be a good idea to tell them what I saw the day I escaped, when David's master plan was lain out in front of me. "What are you kids doing here? School ended twenty minutes ago?" Coach Amar surprises all of us, thinking that most of the teachers had left.

Lynn lends me a hand to stand up, and responds, "Just, looking for Peter."

He sighs, crossing his arms, "You kids shouldn't meddle in this, it's a police matter."

"But I have to Amar, it's my responsibility!" I snap, knowing this is all on me.

He furrows his eyebrows, "What's that supposed to mean?"

Our entire group stiffens, and I speak up, "Nothing, just want to keep everyone safe."

"I'm not an idiot, Six, do you guys want to tell me something?"

Zeke steps in front of us, "Should we trust him?"

"We can't trust anybody you idiot!" Lynn spits.

"Calm down sis, you never know." Shauna tries to reassure her.

"Will somebody please tell me what's going on?" Coach Amar is louder now, almost angry.

I look down, "If we do-"

"Not a good idea!" Lynn sneers.

"If we do, you have to promise not to tell anybody. Police, the principal, anybody."

He peers at me, "What if-"

"No If's, And's or But's."

He sighs, shaking his head, "Fine."

"Are you sure?" Uriah asks, placing a hand on my shoulder.

I nod, trying to sound confident for the sake of my friends, "Yes, Amar, sit down."

We all move over to the bleachers, where I am set in the center, everybody else surrounding me.

"Alright number lady, what's the big issue?" He tries to sound light hearted, but we're anything but.

"To get the big thing out of the way, Peter hasn't just run away. He is either imprisoned, or... dead."

Amar shakes his head, "That's a big stretch, don't you think?"

I roll my eyes, "Seriously, let me finish. There's this guy, David. When I was younger he-"

"Can't you skip over that?" Tobias asks, placing a hand on my thigh.

My head shakes, "No, he's got to know the whole story. David took me when I was younger. He did experiments, which made me into Six. That's the short way to put it. He tortured me, and destroyed m-me." My voice begins to crack, and I try my hardest to hold off tears. Tobias rubs my shoulders, which in turn makes me relax. "The last time I escaped, before I thought he had left, I came across his office. He had this whole plan laid out, and I can still see it now. He wants to capture all of us, supernaturals, that is, and try and find the cause of our abilities. He wants to find the secret to getting abilities, and won't stop until he figures out."

"So he is taking the students." Amar concludes, still seemingly in shock.

I nod looking down.

"I-there is no way any of the authorities can know. They would shut down the school, that would just-"

"Make it easier for him to hunt us." I finish for him.

"This is all insane, there hasn't been any hunting since the eighties. I promise, I'll be here to help you guys with anything." Coach Amar acknowledges this, and I couldn't be more appreciative of his reaction.

After more interrogation from Amar, we finally leave the school. Originally, we were staying after to wait for the cheer list, but it's coming out late. Tobias drives me home, and I avoid questions from Mom about being home late.

Instead, I run some warm water for a bath. Caleb comes in as I'm searching for pajamas, and sits on my bed.

"Need something dipstick?" I tease, grabbing some pants.

He laughs, "Just checking up. We don't talk much anymore, and you've been stressed out."

I grit my teeth, "I'm fine, as usual. Are you just jealous normie?"

Caleb shakes his head, "I've never been jealous of you, weirdo. You're famous, so I can just ride off of that."

I laugh, grabbing a tank top, "Yeah, sure, whatever you think. Now, I am getting in the bath, could you get out of here?"

He stands up, giving me a side hug, "Have fun with that. Dinner in two hours, don't forget!"

I smile, "Of course, you always make the best meals."

Caleb walk out, and I lock my door behind him. After peeling off my clothes, I step into the tub, greeted with warm water that relaxes my muscles. Wanting to just forget for a few minutes, I find myself drifting off.
