Do you remember those times when you think about something particular, and imagine it so vividly and specifically, you couldn't even fathom it being any other way? Every hue, detail, and item involved with it? That is exactly what I did to the DPA compound.

"Six, come here." Tobias beckons, pointing down the narrow hall that we trek through.

I jog over, peering ahead to see an opening coming towards us. "Matthew, where are we? You made us jump down a dank hole for gods sake, and now conspicuous stone halls? This sounds like some hidden, creepy underground sex dungeon."

He let's out a loud laugh, veering off to the side as we come to... a gigantic, dim hole in the ground. I gasp, gazing throughout the area. There are dozens of levels, all buzzing with life from the community of the DPA. Most of the members wear dark colored, mostly black, clothing. It gives of a very mysterious feeling from the entire population.

"Our main complex, where we try to gather most of the time, is called the Pit. It's the center of life in the DPA compound. We also have separate apartments, gyms and gatherings areas throughout our base." Matthew begins to explain, although my eyes are glued on the uproar of life around me.

There are even children dawdling around, being ever so thoughtless on the railess edges. It seems if one would fall, it could be tragic, yet they seem like they don't have a care in the world. The teens, those that are our age, shout and scream at one another, erupting into laughter over the most minuscule things. The adults still run around, being either friendly with everyone, or terrifyingly serious and stone faced.

"Follow me guys," Matthew instructs, leading us past the center of everything.

We go down a plethora of dingy halls, different exits leading to new, gigantic rooms, each with a different purpose. Finally, we turn into a wider hall, lit slightly better than the rest. There are many doors on either side of the walls, each with different numbers next to them. "This is where you guys will be staying." He says, motioning to the area.

"Wait, who said anything about staying here?" I spit, giving him a death stare.

"Six, if you're here to help, you're going to stay here."

Christina squeaks, "What about school? What about cheer? What about our family?"

Matthew nods, turning around, "They have been informed, in layman's terms, that you have all been moved, per order of a government organization, and are being kept on the down low for a period of time."

"That's it then," I begin, rolling my eyes, "We're just supposed to give up our lives for this?"

He gives me a stern look, nodding once more, "Six Prior, if you are to save your friends, and every single divergent there is, then this is your new life, all of your new lives."

---------------------------------

I cock my head, examining the rather stylish clothes providing by the DPA, which are hung in the closet of the small room. Each one of us have been given a new living area, just enough to have a bed, bathroom, closet, kitchenette, and an old, very worn sofa plopped down in the corner.

Later today, we will be given a true briefing, and we will all be given a specific assignment. All we have is the clothes on our backs, and will be able to grab a select few items from our homes tomorrow. Then, we will be allowed to say goodbye to our families, just for a while, and return here.

"Bea? You in there?" Tobias' voice rings into the room, everywhere in the compound giving a loud echo.

"Yeah, come in." I whisper, sliding the creaking closet door shut.

He busts into my room, tackling me to the plush bed. I burst into a fit of giggles, being showered with kisses. His soft lips erupt something in me that I myself could never quite place. Perhaps it might just be love, however I love my family and friends, and never feel like this with them. When you think deeply, the thought of having your one true love might cross your mind. Perchance, Tobias might be that man to me.

I bite my lip, pushing him off to the side, "How are you feeling love?" I inquire, biting a small piece of dried skin from my lip.

He bobs his head from side to side, as if contemplating the question like a life decision, "I suppose I'm alright, although this is huge."

"Which part, being part of a secret mutant organization, or leaving our entire lives behind for the cause of everybody?"

Tobias pulls me into his chest, which seems to radiate comfort, "All of it, if I'm being completely honest."

Those words mean a lot, and stir the pot already boiling in my mind. It's almost like he doesn't want to be here, but that couldn't be true, right? He is here for me, our friends, our family, and every single person being targeted by that demon David.

"Caught in your thoughts, princess?" He whispers, burying his head in my hair.

I close my eyes, holding him closer, "As always, our lives seem to be full of insane circumstances every day."

"You're not wrong," He chuckles, "But it's always ended for the better."

"Always."
