Once again, I wake up to a flurry of texts from our group chat. Instead of answering them, I sit right up to get ready for school. The Summer Soiree is Friday, and it is Monday now, and Christina and Marlene are determined to get me a date for this thing. Personally, I like going as a group more than going with somebody else, but at this point, I will do anything just to get them off of my back.

I go downstairs to put a bagel in the toaster, teleport to Caleb's room and scream to wake him up, and then go back downstairs to find the cream cheese. As I am slathering it on my bagel, he runs downstairs, red faced and a blanket thrown across his shoulders, "Seriously Six? That was so immature!"

I laugh, "Yes, but it was funny! Go get ready for your normie school."

He storms back upstairs, stomping on every stair. I take a big bite of my bagel, and go back to my room. Seeing that I now have calls from Christina, Marlene and Uriah, I actually check what people were saying.

Ultimately, they just want to set me up with Four for the dance. Probably just because he is just like me, but I don't want to go with anyone. Christina calls, "Hey crazy Chris, what's up?"

"Six, I told you, Four is perfect!"

I groan, throwing myself back onto my bed, "Why do you keep insisting?"

Christina is screaming, "I will stop if you ask him! Also, I may or may not have asked him to take you to school today!"

"Are you kidding me? At this point, I don't care, I'll ask. When will he be over?"

She squeals, "He will be over at 8, you have thirty minutes! Thank you Six!"

"Yeah, whatever." I hang up, and go over to my closet.

Great, now I have to ask a guy I've only had little conversations with and some classes, to a school dance. I mean, it is a way to get all of the girls away from me.

Seeing that I have to 'charm' Four, I put on something I like, and know he will probably like. Black, ripped jeans are slipped on my legs, and I shrug a white tee and my black leather jacket on. As usual, I put on my black combat boots, and bold makeup. Like Christina taught me, I put my hair in a tight bun.

I text her a picture, and she approves. Finally, I grab my bag and go sit on the front porch. As usual, Caleb has left, and Mom is at work. My eyes are lost in the busy street ahead of me. Cars rush past, people run and bike across the streets. This city suits me a lot better than in California.

A motorcycle starts up from my neighbors house, and I look over. Is that... Four? He glances at his phone, pulls out, and goes right into my driveway.

I stand up, smiling, "I didn't know you lived right next to me!"

He laughs, taking a helmet off of his handle bar, "I thought you would never notice. Do you know why Christina made me pick you up?"

I shrug, grabbing the helmet, "I guess I have a little idea."

He puts my arms around his torso as I sit down, "And that is?"

I smile cockily, "That's for me to know, and for you to find out."

He laughs, pulling out. We get a few looks from passing cars as we fly down the streets, probably thinking that we are stupid teenagers. I have to say, his choice of transportation is pretty awesome.

We pull in next to someone else's motorcycle, sharing the space. "Well, thanks for the ride number boy." I say with a wink.

He smirks, "Right back at yah number girl."

I let my bag fall to one side of my shoulder, and walk in, swaying my hips with confidence. Once I arrive at my locker, everybody is surrounding it again. I push my way in between Uriah and Zeke, and open it up.

After switching my books and folders, I turn around to talk. Marlene smiles cheekily, "So, how was your ride with Four this morning?"

I bite my lip, "Erm, it was a ride?"

All of the girls, except Lynn, gasp.

"You are so flustered! You totally like him!" Christina exclaims.

I shake my head, "Biting my lip is just a nasty habit."

They all look skeptical, but back off.

"So, what's the plan for your party this weekend?" I ask Zeke.

He smirks, "Oh, the usual..."

"And that is?"

"Dancing, clearing the house, alcohol, you know."

I should have known, those two scream 'let's get wasted and regret it'.

"Yeah, I'm down. It's not like I haven't won a few drinking contests before." I respond cockily.

Zeke scoffs, "Could you get down fifteen shots of vodka before having to stop?"

I cross my arms, looking him in the eyes, "No. I got...twenty-two."

Okay, so it was actually twenty, and alcohol for some reason doesn't have much of an effect on me, but I still did it!

Zeke's eyes widen, and he steps back, "Fine then!"

I laugh, leaning back against my locker.

"Yo Six!" I hear Four call out.

I see his arm above the crowd, and I jump up, my arm on fire, to try and get his attention. He runs over, and slings an arm around my shoulder.

I smile, looking up at him, and he gives me a goofy grin.

Chris sighs, "I totally ship FourSix."

I shake my head, "What the hell is that?"

She smirks, "It's your ship name. You and Four would be cute together, so we put your names together."

Four squeezes my shoulder, "That's a little weird Christina."

"No it's not."

I roll my eyes, that girl is a little weird. I lean over to Lynn, "Does she do that to everyone?"

She nods, and responds in my head so nobody else can hear.

Literally all of us, Marlene and Uriah are Mariah, Zeke and Shauna are Sheke, Will and her are Wistina, and me and Lauren don't have one because our names are the same combined.

I laugh, so I was right, Christina is a little bit crazy.

"Hey Christina," I start, "Wouldn't our ship name be Ten?"

She cocks her head, "Wait, why?"

"Four plus Six equals Ten, duh!"

Her eyes light up, then she softens, "Nah, I like FourSix better. It kind of sounds like Fortress, like a fortress of love."

I hold back a laugh, "Okay then, psycho shipper."

She huffs, crossing her arms, "I'm not that crazy!"

I glance to the side, avoiding her eyes. The warning bell rings, breaking up our conversation. We head to first period, ready for another day in the hell known as high school.
