"It's Christmas!" I giggle, jumping on top of Tobias. He rolls over in my bed, groaning. "What time is it?"

"Eight. Come on, sleepy head!" I grab his arm, pulling him from the bed.

He shakes his head, still keeping a smile on his face, and pulls on a shirt. The blood rushes to my cheeks, "You're so cute," I mumble.

Tobias smirks, pulling up the edge of his shirt, "Beatrice Prior, were staring at my abs?"

"What, like you never stare at my boobs?"

"What the hell is happening?" Caleb screeches, bursting into the room.

I squeal, darting over to Tobias.

"Tris, he is supposed to sleep in the guest bedroom. Just cause he moved in doesn't mean he is moving into your room. " Caleb crosses his arms, raising an eyebrow.

"He's my boyfriend! Stay out of it!" I shout, throwing a snowball at him.

Tobias laughs, wrapping his arms around me, "Shouldn't we get downstairs with the others?"

"Oh yeah, all your stupid friends are here." My brother rolls his eyes before walking out.

I blush, looking up at my wonderful boyfriend, "Yeah Tobias, why aren't you in the guest bedroom?"

"You know the answer to that." He whispers, bringing my lips to meet his. I smile into the kiss, eyes closed.

"Get downstairs!" Caleb shouts again, before stomping down the stairs.

I sigh, pulling away. We put on slippers before walking downstairs, where my family and friends are gathered on the couches. Christina shoots me a quick wink before pushing Will over so we can sit on the couch.

"I'll hand out presents!" My mom exclaims, she has always been really enthusiastic about this kind of stuff. She begins throwing boxes at us, which ends up as twelve mountains of gifts.

We open gifts one by one, revealing scrapbooks and blankets, clothes and a lot of food. My mom got all of us matching flannel pajama pants, and Caleb even got us all our favorite candies. I guess he pays more attention than I thought.

As we keep my friends end up the the floor, while Tobias and I take over the couch. He has his arms wrapped around my waist and his head on my shoulder. I finally get to my last present, and notice everybody else has finished.

Tobias slips out from behind me, grabbing it before I can. It's a small, sparkling gold box, with a small black bow at the top.

"This one's from me, and I felt like I should give it to you personally." He says, smiling.

Slowly, he gets on one knee, and I suck in a breath.

"Beatrice Prior, I have loved you since the moment I met you. You've always been kind and considerate, and I've never seen someone as resilient as you are. You brought a spark into my life that I never thought I would get back."

My heart races, and tears sting my eyes.

"You mean so much to me, so I'm asking for something. I'm making a promise. I want to promise to you that you're my one and only. That I'm the only one you'll love, and you're the only one I love. That one day, we will have a family and grow old together. Will you accept my promise ring?"

I let a tear fall, nodding frantically, "Tobias-I, of course!" He slips the ring on my finger, and picks me up, our lips drawn together. There's nothing else in that moment that matters.

Just Tobias, and I. Just our lips touching and our love. This is it, this is the man I will spend the rest of my life with, and that's a promise.
