Dan's POV

We pulled up in a service station to get some much needed lunch. We had been driving for 4 hours now and Kyle especially was getting extremely fatigued. I was left in the car whilst Kyle went and got some food. I had calmed down a lot during the journey but as we got nearer, my anxiety levels had began to built up again. I decided to take a quick walk around the quiet car park to clear my head. I paced up and down the length of the area thinking over about what had happened. I was unable to fully clear my mind as pictures of Sarah being trapped and alone flooded my head.

I began to walk back to the car as I saw Kyle appear from the service station. I sat patiently in the car, whilst he brought two McDonald's paper bags he had just purchased over to the me.

"Here, have some of these." Kyle passed me a paper bag, I opened it up to discover a large portion of chicken nuggets and chips, Kyle had the same.

After quickly eating the lunch, we made our way back onto the motorway. The pungent greasy smell of chips remained in the car. It kind of stank, and I could tell Kyle thought it too.

We travelled for another hour or so before hitting a huge traffic jam. A car crash had occurred further along and all the cars were beginning to pile up. Great. We were going to get to Sarah even later now. I couldn't bare it and I was becoming even more restless.

Kyle's POV

God I was starving. I had secretly been trying to search for somewhere to eat for a while now so when this service station came up, we had no choice but to go there.

I left Dan in the car, whilst I headed to McDonald's. The car park was pretty empty, weird since the roads were so busy. As I walked in, I discovered it was just as empty as the car park. I headed over to the counter and ordered some large chicken nuggets and chips, it would keep us going for a while.

Upon walking backing to the car, I panicked to see Dan wasn't in there, but soon I saw him appearing from behind one of the few cars.

"Here have some of these." I said chucking him one of the paper bags.

"Thanks." He replied, beginning to eat the chips. The smell of the food instantly began to fill the car. Not gonna lie, it bloody stank but I tried to ignore it.

We found our selves in heavy traffic after leaving the service station. I could tell Dan was getting restless and impatient by the fact his kept nervously wriggling in his seat. He obviously was itching to find Sarah.

After managing to slowly escape the congestion, we were well on our way again. Another couple of hours past before we saw the 'Welcome to Scotland' sign post and god was I glad to see it. I was so tired from driving but I had to keep going for Dan and Sarah's sake.

Dan's POV

After passing the Scotland border I knew we were getting even closer. What if we couldn't find her? What if they had already left to go somewhere else? I began to panic again, desperate to see Sarah again. We had been driving for almost seven hours now an my head was beginning to not function properly.

Perth. Read a stone sign post. This was it. We were here. Thank god for that. It was time to find her. I just hope she is okay, I couldn't lose her and our baby.

"I wrote down the details of the address, they're in the laptop case." Kyle said, asking me to get them out.

I pulled out a scrap of paper, Kyle had scribbled down an address on it. It read:

3 Sinton terrace,

Leonard St.

Perth.

Kyle tapped it into the sat nav as I read it out loud. Something seemed familiar about the address but I couldn't quite remember what. Anyway, that wasn't important, we needed to find Sarah before it was too late.

We made our way onto Leonard Street. All the buildings were different meaning they looked our of place and the street didn't look like a particularly nice area to live in. We slowly drove down in looking for the correct address when Kyle saw a building labelled 'Sinton Terrace'. This was it.

We parked the car by the roadside just outside. I remained seated to try and stay calm about what was just going to happen.

"Right we need a plan." Kyle stated, raring to go. "Dan you can try and find Sarah with my help and if anyone comes or sees us, I'll distract them. Yeah?" It sounded conniving, hopefully it would work.

"Yeah." I nodded, anxious for the break in.

We approached the door to the building. It was locked, but soon Kyle had managed to open it with his car keys. The first floor had the rooms numbered 1 and 2 so we made our way upstairs to find room 3. This must be it. The building was deadly silent, as though it was misused. My heart was beating twice it's usual speed and I had began to nervously bite my fingernails.

Kyle peaked through the keyhole.

"She's in there," He whispered, "and she's alone. Come on." He urged. he was right, we had little time.

We slowly opened.oiii. the unlocked door to reveal Sarah lying on a bed, sleeping. I ran over, thank god she was ok. Kyle began trying to wake her up, but was unsuccessful in doing so.

"Sarah." I whispered. "Its me, Dan." She still didn't wake up. What was happening?

Kyle began to lift her off the bed, it was our only hope of getting her out of here soon. I carefully carried her upper body whilst Kyle held her legs. we carried her down stairs, stopping when we saw a figure appeaar in the doorway. They opened the door and walked past us on the stairs. Phew, me and Kyle both simultaneously breathed a sigh of relief. We continued to carry her fragile body until we were back outside. We did it.

I placed Sarah in the back seat, and buckled her seatbelt.

"WAIT HERE! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOURE DOING, COME BACK HERE NOW!" A voice shouted from down the street. I looked down to see and angry women running towards us. Oh god. She had seen we'd taken Sarah. My body froze in shock.

"Come on Dan we need to go!" Said Kyle, pushing me into the backseat with Sarah.

Kyle pushed his foot down and before I knew it we were speeding off down the street. The lady unable to keep up with the car.
