The lady stepped closer to Dan so that her face was now lot by the hallways glow. She looked confused as to what he was doing there and who he was but he ignored that fact. He was drawn to the fact he could see tears streaming down her face. Something wasn't right.

"Erm,is Sarah in?" She asked hopefully.

"Sure, she's in bed but if it's important I will go and get her." He replied.

"If you don't mind?" She asked politely.

"Not at all, come in." Said Dan inviting in the lady. She sat down on the sofa and Dan ran upstairs to get Sarah.

As he walked into the room he saw Sarah was still fast asleep. He gently shook her shoulder and kissed her cheek. She let out a groan and slowly opened her eyes.

"What is it." Sarah seemed confused as to why Dan had woken her up.

"There's someone here, they're downstairs and want to speak to you." He said as he grabbed her hand and pulled her out of bed.

"Oi!" Said Sarah jokily. She slung Dans hoody over her head and followed him downstairs.

The lady stood up as she heard their footsteps coming down the stairs. The lady grinned and raised her glasses onto the top of her head.

"Melinda!" Sarah said shocked as he realised who had come to see her. It was Bertie's mother.

Melinda walked towards Sarah, wrapping her arms around her as she did so. They hugged for a while before Melinda began to hysterically cry again. Sarah sat her down and tried to calm her down. Dan got the impression that he was unwanted in this conversation so he walked back up to Sarah's room.

"Are you ok?" Sarah asked, feeling a little awkward around her.

"Not really, no." She wiped her tears away. "I got back and hour ago, it's been pretty tough."

"I can imagine." Sarah smiled. "I'm so sorry to hear about-" she was cut off.

"I'm sorry for you too Sarah, Bertie loved you so much." Sarah instantly felt a surge of guilt drowning her body. She blushed and smiled realising that Melinda mustn't know they had split up. She was going to have to break it to her at some point.

"Melinda, do you know that me and Bertie broke up a couple of months ago." Sarah asked trying to sound as sympathetic as possible. She regretted he decision immediately afterwards. Melinda had her head in hers hand and was now sobbing even more than before.

"I'm sorry, he said he was moving away and I couldn't deal with such a long distance relationship..." Sarah said resting her hand on Melinda's back.

"Don't worry," She said, tears slowing down her rosy cheeks. "It's not your fault."

Sarah and Melinda spent hours talking over what was going on. Melinda went home at about 11:30pm and Sarah joined Dan in bed. He was sitting up playing on Sarah's laptop, that he had managed to find out the password to. When Sarah sat down she found him watching her YouTube videos. He was amazed at the quality of the videos and noticed how Bertie had either starred or helped her film them. But before Dan had the chance I watch any more, Sarah had snatched the laptop off him.

"They're really good." Said Dan asking for the laptop back.

"Honestly? I don't like most of them." She said laughing it off.

"Yeah they're awesome, you should do some of our music videos sometime, you'd be much better than the dude we have now." He offered.

"Come on then show me some of your music videos!" Sarah said as she brought the laptop back onto her knee.

She searched Bastille, his band name into YouTube to find a load of various songs and covers appear on the list. She picked one at random and began to listen.

"This is awesome." Sarah said listening to the lyrics. She hummed along trying to catch the rhythm and Dan sang silently beside her.

They laughed at how bad the quality of the videos were, due to the fact they were unprofessionally edited, but Sarah still found it really cool that her boyfriend had kept this a secret from her for such a long time.

Sarah turned off the laptop and put it back in its usual position, precariously on the edge of the bedside table. She pulled the covers over herself and snuggle closer to Dan. As she did so, she felt his warm hands wrap around her waist pulling her even closer.

They were face to face, barely a breath away.

Before she knew it, Sarah could feel Dans warm lips touching hers and his hands moving in little circles on the back of her shirt. He began to pull the shirt upwards, over her head and Sarah did the same to him.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" He asked. Dan paused and broke away from Sarah.

"Sure." replied Sarah as they plunged into the darkness of the duvet covers...
