Dan's POV

Kyle continued to race down the city roads until we were well put of view of the lady who saw us. That was close but we did it. I had Sarah back, my body was overwhelmed by relief.

"Sarah?" I gently shook her shoulder. She remained in a deep sleep as though she was unconscious.

"Kyle, Sarah isn't waking up." I panicked. Beginning to violently shake her this time, begging for her to open her eyes.

"She'll be find Dan, don't worry. She's probably just in a real deep sleep." Kyle tried to reassure me once again.

I brushed my hands down her arm and slowly held her hand. In the process of doing so, I discovered three small marks on her wrist. On the marks there were spots of dried blood. She had been drugged. That explains the fact she is unconscious.

"Kyle, we need to take her to hospital." I panicked.

"What?" Kyle asked, pulling into the nearer lay by on the motorway." He turned around and I pointed to the marks on her skin.

"She's been drugged." Stating the obvious.

"Oh god," Kyle replied. "Ill have to turn back."

We made our way down the motorway for a little longer before getting the opportunity to run back. Kyle was driving exceptionally fast, but I didn't mind. I just wanted to make sure Sarah was safe.

We soon pulled up at Perth General hospital. Kyle ran in and brought a nurse out from the accident and emergency section. Everything went by so quickly. She examined Sarah's lifeless body and ran back in to collect a stretcher. Before I knew it, Sarah had been dragged out of the back set and with the help of a team of paramedics, She was being wheeled into the entrance. Still not waking up.

Me and Kyle followed them as she was taken through a series of corridors. We soon arrived in a large waiting room that was virtually empty.

"You'll have to wait here for now." Said the nurse who had originally came and examined Sarah. I nodded and took a seat next to Kyle, who had already sat down.

Soon Sarah was out of sight as she was taken into a room for further consultation. I began to become very nervous again. I hoped she was alright. What about if she wasn't? It was all my fault. Without me, this never would have happened.

Kyle could obviously tell I was nervous again due to the fact I began to bit my fingernails.

"She'll be ok you know." Kyle tried to make me feel better. I smiled, knowing he was probably right, but still fear of the unknown burned inside of me.

Sarah's POV

I could hear things around me. I couldn't open my eyes, or move my body, but I could hear people around me. Unfamiliar voices. I could hear wheels rolling underneath me, but apart from that everything else was silent.

The voices got louder as time went on. Things I couldn't understand. I slowly began to regain my sense of smell, revealing a pungent medicine like scent. Was I in a hospital? What was happening to me? I still couldn't feel or see anything. What was happening? the questions filled my head. My body felt numb.

Dan's POV

I waited and waited for what seemed liked hours. Kyle had gotten restless and so had I. I kept pacing up and down the waiting room, waiting for a response or any news but none came. Was she ok? I couldn't help but feel like something really wasn't ok. Why was it taking so long?

As I sat back down, a nurse appeared from the room where Sarah was. She walked over to me and sat down on the chair next to us.

"She's still not come around yet, but hopefully she will soon. She has had a high dosage of an unknown drug but it should wear off pretty soon." The nurse's words instantly reassured me. "I shall come back when I have any more new information." She stood up and went back into the room.

"See I told you everything would be ok." Kyle smiled. He was right. I breathed a sigh of relief. My levels of hope had increased. She was going to be alright.

After another half an hour or so, the lady reappeared again.

"I have some good news for you. She has come around now and you are allowed to go and see her. Just beware of the fact she is still a little drowsy." The nurse said. Thank god. The moment I had been waiting for.

Me and Kyle followed the nurse into the room where Sarah was. She lay on the bed, tubes attached all over her. I quickly approached her bedside and sat down on the chair next to her.

"We have your friends here to see you Sarah." The nurse pointed at us. I smiled at her but she didn't smile back. She looked confused and unsure of what was happening. Her face stayed this way for a minute or so, she didn't say anything.

"Sarah? It's me Dan." I said trying to stop the confusion. Her gaze still remained transfixed on me and Kyle.

She finally began to try and get some words out.

"I.. I, I, don't know who these people are?" Sarah stuttered.
