"Hey, calm down." Dan said to Sarah as he wiped away the tears that were falling down her face.

"I don't know why I'm crying." Sarah said giggling. "I wish he would just leave me alone, he's pathetic." Sarah said returning to Dan's warm embrace.

Sarah showed Dan around the house. They entered her room and Sarah sat down on her double bed in the corner. The walls were white and covered in photographs of her and her friends. The floor was wooden with various different rugs scattered on the floor. It was so unique, Dan loved it. He saw a bean bag under the window and decided to sit down on it. Sarah frowned, suggesting that she wanted him to sit next to her.

Dan stood up and walked over to the bed. He sat down beside her and put his arm around her waist. He noticed some large lights, cameras and tripods that were hidden in another corner. The more Dan looked around, the more he was drawn to Sarah's unique style.

"Are those for your films." He asked, curiously pointing towards the lights.

"Err yeah." Sarah said, almost embarrassed.

"Show me some of them?" Dan asked, excitedly.

"No way!" she replied, dismissively.

Sarah announced she was going to the bathroom and therefore left Dan alone in her room. He spotted her laptop on the bedside table and took the opportunity to browse for any video evidence. He opened up the shiny MacBook and was asked for a password. He tried her birthdate and a few obvious alternates but was unsuccessful to login. He heard footsteps walking along the landing, so he quickly placed the laptop back in its usual position on the bedside table, before Sarah entered her room again.

Sarah hadn't noticed but Dan had also slipped the memory stick from the laptop into his pocket. Hopefully this would contain some video files.

The day passed by quickly. Dan and Sarah chatted, telling each other more about themselves. Dan kept asking Sarah to show him some videos but she kept refusing.

Dan informed Sarah he was going to pop out and see Kyle so he left at about four, promising he would be back soon. He walked out on to the busy road and made his way to the bus stop in village.

Sarah was just about to go back downstairs to make some tea when she heard a knock at the door. Who could it be?

She walked down stairs, across the hallway and opened the door. Two police officers stood proudly on the steps.

"Sarah, I presume?" One spoke out as she opens the door.

"Yes, can I help you?" She asked, genuinely confused as to why they were here.

"We have something to tell you." The other said seriously.

"What about? Err, would you like to come inside?" Sarah asked kindly, unsure of what to expect.

The policemen accepted the offer and followed her inside. Sarah sat on the sofa in the hallway and invited to police officers to take a seat opposite. The officers gave her an understanding look before they announced.

'It's about your boyfriend." They warned.

"Dan?!" where was he? He had just left half and hour ago.

"We have just found him, dead.'

"What! Where?" Asked Sarah as she cupped her hands over her face, trying to hide her emotions.

"Just down the road, we think he attempted to jump in front of a car."

Sarah remained silent, how could he? She didn't think Dan was the person to do this kind of thing. It didn't make sense.

"An ambulance arrived quickly, but I'm very sorry. He was pronounced dead at the scene." The officer said.

"Where is he now?" Said Sarah removing her hands from her face, revealing the tears that covered her red complexion.

"He is at the hospital. They're checking that there is nothing else they can do to revive him."

"Can I go there?" Sarah pleaded. The officers looked at each other, whispered something that Sarah couldn't make out then nodded.

"We can take you in the car." They said as they stood up.

Sarah, who was now shaking, picked up her coat and joined the officers as they entered the car. Sarah sat in the back seat and attached her seatbelt. The car drove out of Sarah's drive and on to the main road. An area of the road was cordoned off with police tape, presumably the spot where the event occurred.

The journey to the hospital seemed to take forever. Sarah kept trying to compose herself, but all attempts proved unsuccessful. They finally arrived at the hospital. One officer opened the door for Sarah and she slowly walked out. They proceeded towards the entrance and were allowed to go straight through.

Sarah was informed that soon, she would have to identify the body as being Dan's. Something she was already dreading. Minutes seemed to go past like hours, as each past the more nervous she became.

"Sarah, the body is ready now. Would you like to come through?" The moment she had been dreading was now reality.

It was time.
