"no fiona?" that is the first thing he says to everett, because it's awkward and he doesn't know why he said yes to coming tonight. "is she feeling okay?"
"no," everett responds simply, but it seems as if there's more he wants to talk about. his hands are shoved deeply into his jean pockets, and he looks puzzled.
"okay," he nods his head.
"sorry... i should go make sure she's okay. rain check?"
"uh, sure," he smiles, even though he already spent more than 20 minutes to freshen up before coming, for what reason, he doesn't know. "bye, i guess?"
"bye," everett runs back in the direction he came, and aidan is left all alone again.
