it's late, but aidan hasn't moved from his spot on the sofa. his knees are still tucked against his chest, and he stares blankly at the tv screen.
everett turns it off, chewing on his lip over what to do. "hey, maybe we should get some rest. you're welcome to stay the night."
aidan nods, curling up with a pillow without any words, so everett wraps a blanket around him, getting ready to walk to the kitchen.
"don't go," aidan whispers, chocolate eyes full of fear. "please."
the blonde boy sets a pillow on the ground by the couch, so close that he could reach up and hold aidan's hand. "i'm not going anywhere."
