aidan
"ready, my dear?" he winks, taking everett's hand.
"ready as i will ever be, my love," everett laughs.
the two walk out of their apartment to brenda's burgers, ignoring some of glares from homophobic new yorkers. the hot august weather has decided to grant them the luck of calming down with the humidity.
eventually arriving at their destination, they wait on the staff to get them a table. aidan takes a moment to admire his boyfriend, wearing a gray crewcut shirt rolled up to the elbows and black jeans. his hazel eyes are lit up, catching aidan in the act, which is when he decides that it's a good time to share a kiss.
aidan's eyes flutter close, and he slowly sinks into the feeling of being complete and finally having what he's wanted so long with everett. he is no longer lost, no longer holding onto something that could be ripped from his grasp at any moment; everett is here to stay—
someone clears their throat.
