"what?" she asks, rolling off of him and under the covers. her eyebrows are furrowed in confusion. "i'm not who? is this what you've been upset about?"
"i'm sorry," he apologizes. "i just can't do this."
"who is she?"
he. "i'm sorry, you're a really great person," he whispers, and it hurts him to possibly hurt her.
"okay. i'll get my stuff."
she leaves without another word, and he can sense the shame and embarrassment coming off of her.
