everett
the air conditioning wakes him up when a cold waft hits his back around two a.m. he rubs his eyes and sits up, his hand reaching for aidan— and aidan isn't there.
he gets up and walks toward the kitchen, only to find aidan sitting at the table, head resting on it as he snores softly.
everett smiles, and he doesn't want to wake his boyfriend, but he needs to sleep in a bed.
"hey," he murmurs, hand squeezing his shoulder as he reaches under his arm to help him up.
aidan jolts awake, confused. "huh?"
"let's get back to bed, babe," he replies, and aidan begrudgingly complies as the two walk back to bed.
aidan is tired, still half asleep, but he still manages to pull the sheets around them and whisper a soft "i love you" before passing out again.
