everett

tristan has become his and aidan's friend. he's easygoing, fun, and a great person to go out with and watch a football game with.

it's a wednesday night, and normally they would be seated at the couch screaming at a team to "go go go!" but there's only a week left until school starts back up, and this is aidan's last night in america for a few months, so everett is driving him to the airport to meet up with the other exchange students.

the car ride is silent for what feels like hours, but it has been only been five minutes since they got in.

aidan looks over at him, hand swiftly moving from his own lap to rest on everett's hand on the clutch. "it's okay."

everett tightens his one hand on the wheel to resist the temptation to say something stupid.

one more hour, and aidan will be gone.

his head hurts.
