(Jessica's Pov)

I drove my car around the city with my girl friends, typically this is what we do when saturday comes.

I picked my phone and tried to call James to ask him where he is right now.

"Ugh, fuck me!" I shouted, while I was steering the wheel. "He won't answer my call,"

"Jess, calm down. It's not like you have a relationship with him or something," my friend, maxene, told me.

"I will get him someday," I said, "And don't you call me Jess, it's ugly I don't like it."

"Hey, why don't you check your GPS, you could search for his phone." Kath said,

"Wait, stop, stop, stop. I think I just saw Chris in the Hearted Cafe right behind us." Hannah told me.

I came back to see if James is there. "Ah-huh," I whispered. "You can't hide from me,"

We came down from the car and came in the Dessert place where they are.

He looked so surprise when he saw me, I even made him stood up from where he was sitting.

"Hi James," I said with a flirt.

"What are you doing here?" James asked me.

"Could you say Hi first before you could argue with me?" I said.

He looked away. "My day's already ruined, why do you have to show up." He said,

"Oh my god, what happened to you, did you picked a fight again?" I asked, touching his black eye, but he took my hand away from him.

He turned his back at me, I heard no answer to my question, and he just went back to his seat.

I might as well join them since the three of my friends went to sit next to them.

(Maddie's Pov)

I was taking my clothes out of my luggage and putting them in the same closet where Mitch put hers.

She was taking a bath again, when the nice lady came in my room.

"Hey, is the room okay? I'm sorry for the mess, shall I clean them?" She said,

"Ahh no ma'am. We will handle this,"

"Please call me Olivia, or liv, or livia. It's up to you." She said,

"Okay, Mrs. Livia. We'll take care of the mess," I smiled at her.

"Oh, no I'm single." She added, "We got divorced three years ago."

She heard the pot's whistling so she came out to go and check it.

Mitch, on the other hand, she's done taking a bath and she asked me to go for a walk with her.

"Go out by yourself, I told Miss Livia I would clean this," I said,

"Maddie anderson, we just arrived here, in NEW YORK CITY. This is the largest city we're talking about, we're not just gonna sit here and wait for something to happen, we need to get out."

The fact that she's right makes me want to do what she said.

"Fine, I'll go with you." I said and she got excited.

She pulled me out of the room. "Miss Livia, Maddie and I were just going out," Mitch said,

We're already far from the house and we're walking again under the sun.

"Mitch, remind me. Why are we walking again? When we could just take the taxi," I said, wiping off the sweat coming out from my forehead.

"Oh come on Maddie, don't be such a killer joy. Well, being a friend, I want you to have fun. We could go to the park, we could take a peek at the school we're about to enter, and - look!" She pointed at the place called Hearted Cafe.

"I know about this place, they sell really good desserts and milkshakes." she pulled me so sudden.

"Mitch, you're just wasting our money for this." I stoppes her.

"Maddie, please. Do it for me, please." She begged me. "Please,"

"No," I said,

"Come on Maddie," she held my arm and started pulling me again.

"Please, please, please, please,"

I breathed heavily, "You know, sometimes I really don't like you"

She smiled, "I'll take that as a yes." She pulled me in.
