Chapter 19 - All sorts of trouble

(James's Pov)

I went out of my car, seeing that there's another car parked right in front of our house.

A woman went out of the car.

I folded both of my hands,

She intended to get near me, but I walked away before she could.

I went in the house.

Dad was about to go outside,

I blocked the door before he could.

"You really don't care about us, do you?" I said, my hands are still folded.

"Look, son-"

"Son?" I shouted, "Don't you even dare to call me that." A pointed a finger.

"You wanted to leave? Fine." I slammed the door open.

"Leave us, and never come back!"

I kicked his bag full of clothes hard enough to get it outside the house.

"James stop." Kaitlyn held my arm.

"Son, let's talk about th-"

"No!" I yelled. "Get out of my house!"

He wanted to leave earlier, but now that I'm telling him to leave, he won't move a bit.

"Get out!"

I'm so angry, that I pushed him outside the house and slammed the door close.

It's hard for me to say this but

I've shred some tears.

Seeing mom and Kaitlyn like this weakens me.

I hugged them both,

"Forget him. I'm here, and I won't leave you no matter what." I said,

(Carl's Pov)

It's eight in the evening.

I went to the grocery store to buy some food for us,

I bought mostly fresh fruits for Maddie, since she's awake a while ago.

I went back to the hospital when I finally found the lip tint I was searching for.

I opened the door at Maddie's room and went in.

Seeing that Mitch is still crying because of her.

Geez, what a crybaby.

"I really thought you were dead earlier." She said to the fully energized Maddie.

I place the bag of foods on the table.

"I don't know how I will ask you this but, you just fainted earlier,

they took you here, and you nearly died.

But from what I'm looking at, I think it's the other way around."

I said to Maddie,

She was able to run around the room, that's why I told her that.

Wait, where's Pen-

Oh wait there she is,

All tucked in under her blanket on the couch.

Geez, she must be tired, I mean her snore could even hear from outside.

The nurse came in,

Maddie quickly went back to her bed before the nurse could see her.

"I have good news. The patient is allowed to go home now." She said,

(James's Pov)

I took a little swim in our pool to forget about what happened.

To forget that he left us.

And to forget that I have a dad.

"Hey," Kaitlyn approaches me.

I pity her eyes, it looks so reddish after crying about it.

I got out of the pool, and went to sit beside it.

"How's mom doing?" I said, my head was tilted down.

"She's at her bedroom. Trying not to let us know that she's crying." She sat next to me.

"I'm sorry,"

"What are you apologizing for? You had nothing to do with this." She said,

I turned my head down.

"I knew it all along." I said,

That made her stood up.

"What?" She raised her voice.

"You knew about her other family?!

And you didn't intend to tell us!" She's getting angry at me.

I stood up,

"Kaitlyn, I only hid it to protect you two." I said,

"No!" She yelled, "You would have told us if you didn't-"

I walked forward, but she stayed away.

"I was wrong. You have no difference to dad." She turned her back at me.

"You're both selfish." She said, and started walking away.

"Kaitlyn," I shouted,

That made her stop.

"You have no idea how hard for me to hide that!

You have no idea that I have to suffer everyday because of him.

And you don't know how hard I tried to not let you know about that, 'cause I know it'll hurt you." I said,

She turned around to face me, she shred some tears.

"Kaitlyn, we're all victims, you know that."  I added.

She walked towards me.

And she began to hug me.

(Kaitlyn's Pov)

I was lying on my bed,

I'm still half asleep, when James started knocking at my door.

Again,

"Kaitlyn, your breakfast's getting cold." He said from outside.

"I will eat it later. It's not like I have to go to school or something." I said with a sleepy voice.

I'm home schooled.

"Fine, I'll eat it. Goodluck making your own breakfast later then."

I went down from my bed, and reached the door knob to open it.

"No, no, I'll eat it. Thank you."

He smiled at me.

"Save some for mom. She won't get out of her room." He said,

Fun fact about my brother, when he's at school, his inner demon will show.

But if he's at home or if he's with the persons he loves, he's a SWEET, CARING, and LOVABLE brother and a son.

"I'll take care of mom. You could go now." I smiled at him.

He's just standing there, I think he's waiting for mom to kiss him in the cheek before he could go to school.

But mom won't come out of her room.

So I was the one who kissed him goodbye this time.

"Take care, older bro." I waved him goodbye, when he ran down the stairs.
