Chapter 23 - Buy You A Dress

(Maddie's Pov)

"How 'bout this?"

James was asking me about the dress he was showing me.

"Mmh, too fancy."

"This,"

"Too shiny,"

"This," He said,

"That's not a dress James." I said,

"How is it so hard to pick you a dress? Maybe because it's the fact that I've never pick a dress for someone before. So your lucky to be the first one."

"Psh, you really are a jerk." I crossed my arms.

"I'm kidding," He answered back.

There's a lady came near us. I think she works here at the mall.

"How may I help you, sir?" She asked James,

"We're searching for a dress." He said, "Show me the best looking dress you have."

~5 minutes later~

"How about this?" The lady asked,

"It's Perfect," I said,

The dress is perfect, it's perfect for the theme I'm gonna say to Ms. Audrey.

Belle's dress is yellow right? I think this'll be enough.

We went out the mall after and went home to our own houses.

"OMG! So you guys are cool now, or what?" Carl said after I went in to the house when he saw James drove me here.

"What do you mean? We're still enemies." I said,

"Really? From the looks of it. You guys are like a couple when you're together." Mitch  said,

No way that's not gonna happen. In fact I'm really looking forward to our deal.

I just don't really accept that I have to apologise. It's was my idea anyway...

Someone came knocking at the door.

"I'll get it," Mitch said,

She opened the door and it was that new student in Julliard.

"Drake, you're here." She said,

Mitch! You better not be dating around again. Or so help me I'll kill myself for looking after your boyfriends again!

"This is Drake, my step brother."

Wait what?!

"S-step brother?" I said,

"Yeah, and he'll be helping us for Penny's Birthday tonight." She added,

Penny's birthday is today???

"Uhh okay good. But where is Ms. Livia?" I asked them three.

"She took out Penny for a makeover. She's gonna keep penny away from the house for a while, while we prepare for her birthday." Carl pulled me into the kitchen.

"You're gonna be cooking for her cake, and cupcakes, is that okay with you Mads?" Mitch followed us in the kitchen.

"How will I help?" Drake asked her.

"Well, you're gonna stay here with Maddie to help her clean up. While Carl and I will just go out for a sec to buy something like streamers and everything else." Mitch said,

The two, Mitch and Carl, quickly went out of the house.

"How could I help you?" He went beside me.
