Chapter 12 - No one messes with my baby

(Maddie's Pov)

We we're in the Hearted Cafe right now.

I was wondering who named this place, it really bugs me. Hearted Cafe, a heart with
-ed?

Anyway,

Penny and Carl are so awesome to have such a nice job. This place is so fancy, for a cafe itself.

"Woah, you really guys work here." Mitch said, while watching the two putting on their uniforms for their job.

"Can we tell you guys a secret?" Penny said,

"We kinda run this place out by ourselves." Carl whispered,

"Really?" I asked and they nodded. "Wow," I was really amazed back then.

"Finally, I found you." Someone spoke behind us.

"Jessica, what are you doing here? Messing with us in school ain't enough for you." Penny said,

"I'm not here for the two of you," she stepped forward. "I just want to do this,"

She slapped my face.

"Hey! Guards, get them four out of here, now!" Carl shouted, while the costumers were watching.

"I'm not done yet." She shouted, "That's for humiliating my boyfriend in this place last time."

"And this, is for-" She tried to slap me again, but I grabbed her arm before she could do it.

"You're right, I punched him, I kicked him, I stepped on his foot on purpose, I even manage to make him fall on the ground." I said, and continued.

"You guys said he's the baddest, but look, I manage to fight with him alive. And it really don't tell that much different if I do it on four girls too, don't you think?" I smiled at them.

She freed her arm from my hand, and walks away out of the place.

"This girl's  my bestfriend, and she's really cool!" Mitch shouted, pointing her finger at me.

We only laughed at what just happened.

"Yeah, she deserves that anyway." Carl said,

"Hey, something bothers me." I said to them.

"What is it?"

"Penny, you said she was messing with you in school." I added,

"Well yeah, she does that everyday." Penny said,

"Don't you worry guys, here's our hero right here." Mitch said, pointing at me again.

Mitch, my bestfriend. Sometimes, I love her and sometimes I don't.

(Jessica's Pov)

We went out of that place and scrammed.

Wait until tomorrow she's really gonna get it.

But wait is that James's car?

"Girl, follow him. Hurry!" Maxene said,

I went to follow him, and he went back to Julliard.

Maybe because it's their basketball practice.

We went to watch them...

(Maddie's Pov)

Three hours later.

It's 7:00 pm, and I barely survived my first day in school.

But I heard tomorrow's gonna be the picking of courses. I wonder what I'll get.

We went out of the cafe, since it's time for them to close it.

"Where do you guys live? We could drive you to you're house." Carl said,

8 minutes later,

He dropped us off in front of Ms. Livia's house.

Hey, come to think of it, how did he know it's our house? We didn't even told him yet.

Penny went down the car too, and Carl waved us goodbye, and he left.

"Wait, why did you- we promised to give you to a ride home." Penny said,

She thought for a sec. and we did too.

"Wait," she said, "have you guys, by any chance, met a lady, blond hair, has milky white skin and tall?"

We nodded,

"And her name is Olivia?" She said, and we nodded again.

She ran by the door to open it, she went inside.

"Mom," she shouted,

And Ms. Livia came out.

"Oh penny you're here. How's your sleep over with Carl?" Ms. Livia said, and she saw the three of us.

"Mom, is it true? Did you really invited them in?" Penny asked, and she raised her voice.

"Yeah, the mansion is big enough, right. From now on, they'll be our housemates." Ms. Livia said,

"Oh my gosh! Really?" She jumped with joy.

"You're my housemates!" She said, in a very happy and excited tone.

"Of all these years, mom and I lived in this big, scary mansion alone. Now, I have my friends here that'll comfort me. Now I have reasons to not sleep in other houses again." Penny said.

"Where's your room?" Penny asked us.

"That's their room, sweetie." Ms. Livia pointed at our room.

"Why would they sleep there, when my bedroom's big enough for the three of us?" Penny said,

"Enough talking, why are you three just standing there? I've already prepared us a meal, come and eat."
