Chapter 33 - Camping

(James's Pov)

It's 8:47 in the evening.

The bus stopped, and Ms. Audrey again told us to get up, so all of us went out of the bus and none of us were left in there.

It's really cold out here, why do we have to camp anyway?

I looked around,

There's Ms. Audrey and Professor Higiance setting up the tents.

There are Luke, Zayne and Chris sitting on the log playing Mobile Legends again.

And there's Maddie picking up a can of soda from the cooler and going somewhere alone.

(Maddie's Pov)

I sat next by the cliff of this mountain, and watched the swaying trees below me, while I take a sip on the soda I took.

When someone sat beside me,

It was James.

"What are you doing here?" I said,

"I should be the one asking you that. What ARE you doing here Maddie." He said,

I placed my can down.

"Nothing, just overthinking again."

The wind blew harder towards our direction.

"Ahh It's cold!" I said,

"Do you want my jacket?" He asked me,

"Uh no, I'll just get mine in the bus, later."

"Then should I get it?" He asked,

Why is he being like this, I'm not really comfortable of the new James I'm seeing.

"No, I'll just get it myself later."

He stood up,

"Saying later, won't do anything, I'm just gonna get it."

He went back in the bus to get mine.

I was feeling really awkward back then,

Why does he have to be so kind to me,

I would appreciate when he wants me dead, when he always ruining my day, and when he's not acting like he's the opposite of the jerk I know.

"Here," He threw my jacket at me.

And I dropped my soda and it spilled on my jeans.

"Ugh, now I have to dry this." I said,

"Sorry,"

Sorry?!

Sorry!!!

Since when did James Stanford says sorry?

"Why are you being like this, it's not like the world rotated in the opposite direction." I said,

"What?"

"Nothing, I just said it's really awkward that you're being nice to me."

He laughed, "That's.. something. Well, we did became friends after all."

"For three hours." I said,

Why?! I feel so disgust on the way he act tonight.

Boring!

This whole fieldtrip thingy is so boring like last year.

My friends and I were just sitting lazily on the log while watching the other students prepair for the tent.
