Chapter 25: Play toy or not?

 While I was getting ready for school next day, I found myself nervous for seeing Cam. A part of my was just worried about him and I just wanted to know if he was okay. Another part of me wasn’t trusting him. Another wanted to hug him and kiss him all over. And other kept reminding me Daniel. My life was ruined.

 Once I was in school Arianne spotted me and rush to me immediately. But I haven’t spot the person I was looking for.

-How you’re feeling? She asked

-Not ready to become an angel. I talked to Michael. He seems nice. I said

-Yeah… The angel part is the hard one? She asked 

-And the part about my feelings for-

-He doesn’t love you okay? He might saved you but… Love you? You’re just his play toy. He’s not worth it Luce. She cut me off. Great. There was no person I could talk about Cam. Arianne and Gabbe hated him and Michael hated him as well and Daniel was Daniel. But I really needed someone to talk to. As answer to my prayers, Pen make her appearance,

-Hey. I greeted her. She was my friend, completely clueless about  all  this angels stuff and very friendly so why not talk to her?

-What are you gonna wear at the party? She asked. So there was indeed a party. 

-No idea. Arianne and I said in union.

-We should go shopping. I was thinking a fairy. She said

-We’ll see. You’re coming Luce aren’t you? It would be a distraction from all…. The homework. She told me. Homework meaning angels, fallen angels, wings powers etc. She was right at some point.

-Of course I’m coming. Shopping tomorrow afternoon? I asked

-Sure thing. Pen said enthusiastically clapping her hands. My eyes were searching all over the place but there was no sign of Cam. Should I start to get worried?

 But then his motorcycle parked on the parking lot and he climb of it. His green eyes met mine and he winked at me making my heart beat faster. I wanted to run to him and hugged him but I couldn’t with Arianne by my side. So I stayed were I was. 

 He leaned back at his motto and lit a cigarette, his eyes piercing mine. 

-What are you gonna wear? Pen asked me bringing me back to reality.

-I’m… I don’t know yet. I replied as the bell rang.

-We’ll find something. Arianne took my hand and we headed to class. And I gladly followed her because I had chemistry and I was with Cam.  I smiled to myself.

 I sat on my seat waiting for him to show up.

-Don’t get your hopes up with him. Someone whispered to my ear. I turned to face Molly.

-What do you even know? I snapped. God like I needed one more thing to add to my list

-All the school knows that he’s a player so be careful Lucinda. She drew back as Cam entered and sat beside me.

-Hey. I greeted him. He turned to me. smirking.

-I thought your friend and your dad forbid you to be with me. I made a face but I was also surprised at how venom his voice held. I didn’t blamed him though. Both Arianne and Michael wanted me to stay away from him but i… I wanted to be with him no matter what. God I have started to grow on him and I knew I shouldn’t but I couldn’t help myself. I was… Well I don’t if I was in love with him but I definitely have feelings for him. 

-And you want me to hear them and do what they say? I asked trying to hold back a smile. He leaned closer to me, his hot breath on my face. I could smell the smoke of his cigarettes.
