I somehow find my way back to my Nan's house. As soon as I walk through the door, I collapse onto the sofa. I just agreed to go out with an international famous person. Not intimidating at all.
I shut my eyes for five minutes to try and relax but someone rudely puts something in the letter. I can hear them from here and I'm usually deaf.
I sigh as I stand up and go outside to get the mail. Most of it looks like bills and crap but one letter is neatly wrote out. I put them on the kitchen side. I check the time in the large wooden clock. It's only eleven thirty. I don't know whether I should go see my Nan or not. I don't know what time she finishes.
So instead I take a shower. I mentally plan out my thoughts under the hot water. Eventually I come to the conclusion that I'm scared. Actually I'm terrified of going out with Niall.
I climb out of the shower, dry myself and get dressed just as my Nan walks in at noon. She has three carrier bags with her that are obviously from the charity shop. A grin is wide across her face which makes me smile with curiosity. She hands me a bag. I look into it to find a load of clothes.
"What are these for Nan?" I ask whilst pulling out a midnight blue satin top with a simple gold chain hanging across the back. I bet it would look beautiful on anyone but me.
"Well I don't know how long you're going to be here so I went shopping in New Look and some other places. I think all of these are your size Jessie." She explains and I throw my arms around her. She is so thoughtful and caring.
"Thank you so much. They're actually perfect." I say as I look at some of the other clothes. A pair of skinny jeans with that blue top would look pretty but I really don't think it would suit me.
Nan walks out of the room to put the kettle on. She makes us both a cup of tea and I explain to her that I'm meeting up with a friend tonight. She seems delighted for me which is sweet and she apparently wants to meet him.
We have a lazy afternoon of watching t.v together and talking about any old random things but it was good. It got me thinking that I should probably get a job if I was going to stay here long term and I should probably start saving. I'm sure I could save up a decent amount of money, enough to buy a flat near Nan's house. It would be super cute.
Time passes and before I know it, I am upstairs getting ready. I wear that blue top with skinny jeans and it actually looks okay on me. Casual yet classy. I keep my makeup simple and I leave my hair straight over my two shoulders.
A knock comes from the door. I quickly grab my bag and jacket but my Nan still got to the door before me and she has invited Niall in.
She is having a full blown cringe worthy conversation with him about everything.
"Nan, we have to go." I eventually say which upsets her slightly.
"Well okay. You kids have fun. Me and your grandad used to go out all the time." She smiles and ushers us out making sure I promised to have fun.
I turn to Niall who starts laughing. I don't even apologise on her behalf. I don't feel the need to. I climb into the passenger side of a black Mercedes. It looks new but I don't know much about cars.
The drive is quiet and quick. I didn't realise how close Nandos was.
Niall parks up and checks in the mirror before he climbs out of his car. I climb out and follow Niall to the entrance of Nandos. A kind lady took us to the table at the back of the restaurant. Niall must have booked up a table. I suppose I understand why he chose the back of the restaurant. I actually preferred it.
"You look stunning by the way." Niall says looking up at me.
"Isn't that something guys have to say?" I ask him smirking. He bites his bottom lip and smiles at me.
"It's supposed to be a secret." He whispers.
"I have a brother." I whisper back just as we have to order our food and drink. I hadn't even looked at the menu so I just went for the burger.
The whole night was filled of us just talking and laughing. I didn't even care about anything that was going on around us. Niall was just so perfect. And not an arsehole like I believed all of One Direction to be at the beginning.
.....
I was upset when the car pulled up outside my Nan's door. I un-clipped my seat belt Abdul picked my bag up.
I looked up at Niall and smiled.
"Thank you. Tonight was lovely." Out of every word I chose lovely?
"No problem. I just..." He started blushing when he couldn't finish his sentence. It was unbelievably cute.
I smiled at his cuteness but my smile was stopped in its tracks when Niall leant in and kissed me. It was a simple kiss but none the less totally unexpected.
"I couldn't tell you so I showed you." He looks away.
"I don't know guy code for that." I blush.
"Me neither." He pauses, "Pass me your phone."
At first I hesitate but then I give it to him. He types a number into the emergency call and then screen shots it.
"Please don't leak it." Niall hands my phone back.
"I would never do that." I say as Niall kisses me again.
I climb out of the car smiling. Best night out ever. I walk through the front door to find my Nan asleep on the sofa. She must have wanted to wait up for me. I don't have the heart to wake her up so I do straight to bed.
Before I go to sleep I add Niall's number to my phone.
*Good night x* I text him.
*Night beautiful x* He replies instantly.
