I stared at the computer screen as a smile crept along my face. I was going to view it next week. At 2 p.m. I loved the idea of it all but was it just a pipe dream? What if it failed horribly? Could I really risk it?
Ashton grins at me. I shove him and sigh in relief. This boy had just made me take a massive risk. It actually felt good. I was going to make something of myself and prove my mother wrong in every way possible.
Ashton went to the kitchen and made me a cup of tea. He must have known me pretty well already.
I gladly took a mint green mug from Ash. It warmed me up from the inside out.
"Our song is going to get recorded soon." Ash suddenly says, breaking the easy silence.
"When's soon?" I ask.
"In three days." That was soon I guess in the music industry.
Ash kindly walks me back home where we then chill out for a few hours. We watch cliche movies. Some were pretty funny but we still ended up watching Frozen. It was hilarious how he spoke every single like from the movie.
Once Frozen finished, we just talk. It was nice. Simple. Although he was my first actual friend in America. Other than my twitter friends. I actually liked Ash and not because I felt the need to but because I genuinely did.
Niall walks in on us laughing. I'm lucky that Niall isn't a suspicious type of guy. Niall stares at us with confusion. I laugh at his face and my stomach literally ached.
"Do it Ash." I say, "Listen to him Niall!" I laugh. Ash does this weird accent and talks about coffee and tea but not having any cups. I curl up into a ball laughing. I wasn't sure if Niall was laughing with us or at us.
Ash left not long after that and I had to tell Niall the news without screaming it out. Somehow Ash had managed to get me all excited about my art gallery.
Niall cooked a pizza whilst I swivelled on the chair against the island table in the kitchen. Niall walked up to me and places his hands on my waist. He leant in and kissed me. He smelt good. He smelt of lavender and mint. I however must have just smelt of tea because that's all I ever drank or was near.
I wrap my arms around Niall's neck and bite my bottom lip. Niall smirks at me. I ignore his smirk like I do most days.
An annoying beep starts going off. I jump off the chair, grab a tea towel and quickly drag the tray out of the oven. The edges of the pizza are black. I push the tray onto the side for Niall to cut.
We sit and eat and then I let him know the news about the building. He loves it but can't come view it with me. I'll just go with Ash instead. Luckily enough I didn't scream the news at Niall.
.........
The week passed far too quickly.
I was walking up the steps to the building with Ash too soon. For some insane reason I was holding on to Ashton's hand. The short woman opened the door and let us look around without her.
The whine floor was perfect with massive pillars falling from the ceiling to the floor and a beautiful black marble floor. I found my way to the basement. It was spacious and surprisingly allowed lots of natural light in.
"So?" Ash asks me grinning.
"Yes!" I squeal and wrap my arms around his waist.
"Would you like to buy it now with a five percent discount?" The short lady asks me. Well us.
"Yep." Ash replies for me.
"You'll need to sign some forms."
I do everything the lady says and then she hands me two keys. One being a replica.
I can't believe I have just put a deposit on this building. It would be mine one day.
Ash and I go to his apartment. I throw myself onto his sofa and I let out all my excitement.
"I have a surprise for you." Ash suddenly says and walks out of the room. He walks back in with a massive box. He opens it to reveal a big canvas, an axel and acrylic paints with hundreds of brushes. It must have cost a fortune.
"Ashton... I bloody love you!!" I shout at him. Annoyed that he bought it but so appreciative that he did.
"You like it?"
"I love it!" I dive on him not even caring how I looked.
I had only met this lad but it felt like I had known him for years. He was literally my best friend here. And he pushed me to do more and take risks. All for the better.
I was lying on Ash for a good five minutes before it got too awkward. I sit up and sigh with happiness. Moving away from my mum was the best thing I had ever done. So many positives had come from it and I felt like loads were going to come.
