THERE IS TALK ABOUT ABUSE IN THIS CHAPTER. PLEASE SKIP IF YOU MAY BE AFFECTED.

Ellie

I grabbed Jacks arm before he could punch Harry and they both froze.

"What the fuck is going on?" I yelled at them. They both stayed quiet and I told Jack to go to the backyard. He obliged quickly and I waited until I heard the door shut.

"Harry, you have 30 seconds to explain what was just going on before I make you leave." I yelled, frustrated with him. His eyes widened and he stuttered.

"I- Ellie, he kept telling me how hot you were and how you would leave me soon enough and how he would have you all to himself so I shoved him and he-he-he t-tried to punch me. Please Ellie, please don't leave me, you're all I have right now." I could hear the desperation in his voice and my eyes watered. I wanted so badly to tell him to leave because he shouldn't have gotten upset and pushed him but I couldn't.

I pulled him upstairs and shut my bedroom door. "Harry, why do you let people like him bother you, you are all I want." I looked up at him and he sighed.

"Because Ellie, they're right. I don't treat you the way you deserve to be treated and maybe,  he is better for you, I should just let you leave." He pushed my chair to the floor and pulled on his hair.

"Harry!" I yelled to make him stop and listen to me. "Before I met you, I thought it was okay that I got my head slammed into walls when my ex was drunk, because he told me loved me when he was sober. I thought it was okay for him to tell me I looked ugly in a certain outfit, because I should've known it would embarrass him. I thought it was okay that he would beat me black and blue and when I told him I would leave him, he would hold me on the train tracks and say that next time, a train will be there to end my life." Tears wet my cheeks as I yelled at Harry, he doesn't understand that he showed me what love was. Harry's mouth opened slightly as he stared at me, before I carried on.

"You showed me what it was like to be loved and I am forever grateful for that." I whispered to him while he placed his hand on my cheek. Soon enough, my head was on his chest and we were sitting on my bedroom floor.

"What was his name?" Harry broke the sound of my quiet sobs after a few minutes.

"Aaron." I shuddered at the name and Harry nodded.

"If I ever meet him, Ellie, I swear to go-" I cut him off.

"He lives in British Columbia." I replied shortly and I could hear Harry's breathing slow down. I wanted to tell Harry the whole story, but it would be terrifying.

"I lived in British Columbia before I lived here and he was my best friends cousin. She doesn't know what he did to me, I always managed to cover the marks and he was smart enough not to hit my face. I came home from work one day and he slammed my face into a door and left me on the floor, until he sobered up and  apologized, except I knew he would do it again. When he left for work I found myself collecting my belongings, which wasn't much cause I was only there for the weekend." Tears were still clouding my vision and I hadn't noticed that we moved to my bed until now.

"I lived with my brother at the time and when I came home he said we were moving back here to live with my dad and I remember being so relieved. My brother and I moved out for a little bit when he first turned seventeen while my dad stayed here." I didn't explain what happened to my brother or why I lived with him but Harry didn't seem to notice. "We moved here after his job transferred him. But Aaron followed me here, that was the guy at the party." I mumbled and Harry didn't say anything, he just stroked my hair.

Harry

Ellie fell asleep about an hour ago and I had tried to sleep but I couldn't stop thinking about her ex. I don't understand how you could hurt someone as precious as Ellie so bad that it scarred her.

I untangled her from my grasp and looked at the time. It was nearly 9 o'clock so I decided to make my way downstairs.

"Harry?" I heard Ron call me so I sped up and walked into the kitchen. "Is Ellie alright, I thought you guys were going out?" I didn't know whether I should tell him the truth or not so I kept quiet for a few seconds.

"She kind of, um, broke down, a-about her ex." I told him and I could see the fiery rise in his face.

"Harry, if you were to ever hurt her the way he did, you would never see another stage again." I nodded to Ron quickly.

"Mr. Harty, I just want you to know that I love your daughter more than I've ever loved a girl and I can't even fathom the thought of hurting her." A small smile was placed on his face before he licked his lips.

"My son died two years ago in a car accident and Ellie was heart broken. She told me everything that happened with Aaron shortly after the accident while she was in the hospital-" I stopped him from talking.

"Why was she in the hospital?" I quickly asked him, needing an explanation.

"She was abused so often from other people, she became abusive to herself." Ron looked down at his hands and when he looked back up his eyes were teary. "No one deserves to be hurt that bad." And that was the last thing Ron said to me before he walked out of the kitchen and I heard him go upstairs.

"She was abused so often from other people, she became abusive to herself." The words rang through my head and I wanted to cry. I wanted to cry because I wasn't there when Ellie was hurting and I wasn't there when she needed someone the most.

"Harry?" Ellie's soft voice called from the down the hall and I made my way to the door frame.

"Hi, baby," I walked over to her and kissed her forehead, her wrapping her arms around me.

"I love you Harry." She whispered against my chest barely even loud enough for me to hear her.

"Eliana, I love you too."
