Harry
"Wanna go to a party tonight?" I asked Ellie, looking at the text message. "My old friend sent a message out."
"Sure," she turned back to her phone but looked up again. "I had plans, remember." She whispered and I sighed.
"Can you reschedule? I want you to be there." I practically begged, placing my hand on her knee.
"Yeah, I guess, Harry." Her voice was laced with annoyance. I kept quiet and stood up, making my way upstairs. I heard her small feet pat on the floor behind me and a smile crept on my lips.
"You annoy the shit out of me, you know that?" She said, stomping up the stairs.
"Same to you." I agreed with a smile and ran to dive onto my bed. Ellie's back turned to me as she leaned down to get something out of her bag. She pulled down her jeans and slipped on a pair of shorts.
"When are we leaving?" Her soft voice broke the silence and I sat up.
"Like an hour?" I said looking at the time.
"Harry!" She yelled running into the bathroom. "Why did you just tell me that?" She pulled her makeup bag out from the cupboard. I made my way over to the panicking girl and grabbed her chin.
"Relax," I whispered against her lips. She put her makeup on the counter and turned to face me, our lips still attached. I moved my hands to her hips and she stepped forward, backing me into a wall.
"If only the party wasn't in an hour." She pulled away and picked her makeup up.
This girl will be the death of me.
••
"Shit Harry, there's like a thousand people here." She yelled over the music as we walked into the mansion.
"I know babe, just stay near me." I intertwined our fingers and pulled her through the crowd and into the kitchen.
"Harry!" I felt someone slap my back and turned to see a familiar face.
"Jonathon, how's it going man," we shook hands and I pulled Ellie beside me. "This is my girlfriend, Ellie." They exchanged smiles and I tightened my hand around her waist when he looked her up and down.
"Damn, she-" I began to talk over him so he wouldn't finish his sentence, because I knew what he was like.
"Where's the drinks?" Jonathon pointed down the hall before turning around and walking away.
Ellie looked up at me, biting her lip. I kissed her lips and she pulled away. "Drinks?" Her voice was barely loud enough to hear over the music.
I grabbed her hand again and we made our way down the filled hallway. "Baby, do I know anyone here?" She yelled to me and I bit my lip trying to think.
"I think Selena Gomez is here, you guys know each other, right?" She nodded and took the drink I mixed for her.
"What about Eleanor?" I pulled her into my chest.
"Her and Louis couldn't come, it's their anniversary or something." She downed her drink in a matter of seconds and stepped forward to the bar.
"Four shots please, surprise me." I grabbed her hips from behind her and leaned down to her ear.
"This dress is kinda short," she smirked at me over her shoulder and turned around.
"Maybe I should take it off, right here?" Her hand trailed up to the strap and I grabbed it.
"Save it for later," I whispered and she smirked, turning around and grabbing the drinks. She handed me two pink shots and she quickly downed her two.
"This is gonna be fun," she slurred and grabbed my hand, pulling me to the dance floor.
••
My head was spinning and my heels were making my feet hurt. "Baby, I'm going to the washroom." I told Harry and he nodded, telling me he'd be here when I got back.
I pushed past at least 60 people on my way to the bathroom, yelling at them to move.
Just as my hand reached to grab the knob I felt someone push my shoulder. I turned around and my eyes widened, my heart rate speeding up.
"Oh, fancy seeing you here, Ellie." The cold voice that brought nightmares back into my mind whispered in my ear, sending chills down my spine.
"Get off me, Aaron," I spit through my teeth. His hands were wrapped around my wrists and my back was against the wall, no one seeming to notice the scene unfolding in front of them.
"Don't talk to me like that, c'mon baby,
you miss me." His grip tightened and I laughed dryly."Miss the way you used to beat me?" I snarled, tears forming in my eyes. Aaron's eyes grew dark and he pushed his lips against my neck and I let out a cry.
"I gave you what you deserved, Ellie. You were an ungrateful brat." I scoffed and tried to shake his grip loose. I knew Harry would come looking for me soon and I would be safe, at least I hoped.
I smelled the whiskey that came from his mouth as he moved his face closer to my lips. I turned my head away and squirmed beneath him, trying to push him away.
Before I knew it, Aaron's body was being thrown into the other wall.
I let out a cry as I saw Harry and I just stared at he threw a punch at Aaron.
"Get the fuck away from my girl." Harry threatened pushing him to the ground. His body was soon turned towards me and I expected him to kiss me, hug me or something. Instead he looked at me, disgusted and made his way towards the front door.
"Harry!" I called after him in fury and finally caught up to him as we reached the front lawn. "Harry, what the hells gotten into you?" I yelled at him, pushing his shoulder.
"You expect me to be happy that you were basically grinding up on some guy? He was kissing you Ellie, I'm not suppose to be happy about that." I let out a laugh, thankful no one was outside listening to our conversation.
"You're right Harry, I was grinding on my abusive ex-boyfriend. I was letting him hold my wrists so tightly I could barely feel them and I let him kiss me, you're right." I nodded and his mouth opened slightly. I shook my head, putting my hand up.
"Save it." I started to walk towards the direction of my house but was soon stopped by hands grabbing my waist. "Harry, stop it, now." I yelled and pushed his hands away.
"Ellie, I'm sorry, baby. I didn't know, I'm so sorry. I-I shouldn't have assumed the worst and gotten angry with you. Baby, I'm so sorry, I had no idea." He pleaded and I let out another cry.
"I hate him, I hate him so fucking much." I mumbled against Harry's chest. "He ruined my life," Harry's hands moved to rub my back.
"I'm sorry, baby. You have no idea." I knew he was sorry and I understand he didn't know, but he shouldn't have gotten angry without letting me explain.
I couldn't control the tears rolling down my cheeks or the sobs coming out of my mouth. "Let's get you home," Harry mumbled against my head and I nodded, falling into his arms.
Harry
"I-I'm sorry, Harry. I'm sorry I got ups-" I interrupted her.
"You are not the one who has to be sorry." I opened the passenger door for her and she got in quickly, allowing me to close it and run to my side.
"My mom comes up tomorrow." I told her and she nodded. "You don't have to come over and meet her," I began but she quickly stopped me.
"I want to meet her, please." She smiled weakly and rested her hand on my thigh. I leaned over and kissed her cheek, before starting the car and making my way to her house.
It had been a long enough night and I was ready for tomorrow.
