Ellie
"Baby, I'll see you in a few weeks, I promise," Harry kissed the top of my head and I tightened my arms around him.
"Please don't," my voice cracked and he pushed me back slightly. "Harry," his lips met mine before I could continue and I heard the boys talking behind us.
"Time to go dude," Louis called, sending me an empathetic look.
"Okay, I'll call you when I get there and I'll fly out in three weeks okay?" I nodded quickly and stepped out of his grasp.
"Call me when you get to Vancouver, I love you." I pressed my lips to his once more and smiled as I pulled away.
"I love you too," he tapped my butt as he walked by and I shook my head, smiling.
I frowned as I walked back to my car. Bear was sprawled across the backseat and I reached back to pet him before pulling out of the lot. I was going to take him to a dog park so he could run for a bit and then I had to meet my dad and Zach.
I plugged my phone into the aux at a red light and hit shuffle. I hadn't talked to Selena lately so I decided to call her, feeling guilty for not seeing her.
It rang a few times before her voice came through. "Hello?"
"Hi Sel," I pulled into the parking lot and parked.
"How's it going," she said excitedly.
"Good, how are you and my little babe?" My heart warmed at her pregnancy.
"This kid eats more than Derek, I can't keep up," she giggled and I laughed along with her. "How was your trip?" She asked.
"It was great, Harry just left for his tour, though." I frowned and I heard her sigh.
"Girls night?" I smiled at her question and bounced my foot excitedly.
"Yes!" I turned the car off and switched the call to my phone before getting out.
"Okay, I have to go but come to my place for seven." She confirmed with me as I opened the back door.
"Perfect, bye girl." I hung up and Bear jumped out, about to run up the small trail to the open, fenced in area.
"Bear," I growled and he stopped, his paws bouncing off the ground when I reached him. "Let's go." He obliged and stayed close by my side until we reached the fence and he jumped up on it.
I unlatched it, making sure no puppies could get out before letting my huge fluff ball squeeze through before me.
"Go on," I nodded and he started in a full sprint, making me laugh. I pulled my sunglasses down to cover my eyes and pulled my phone out.
Taking a short video of the 80 pound dog running around, I sent it to Harry. Bear had been to the dog park at least five times and it's his favourite place, other than seeing my dad.
Forty five minutes later Bear was flopped on his back behind me, snoring quietly.
Deciding to pick my dad up for the lunch I made a left turn. I knew Bear would have freaked out, recognizing the way to his new house so I was thankful he was sleeping.
I pulled into the large driveway and tried to get out faster than Bear would wake up. His head peeked up when I opened the door and he jumped up, running to the front door faster than I could lock my car.
"Bear!" I heard my dad say and I figured the dog had already been scratching at the door. I turned the corner and my dad looked up. "Hey, El!" He pulled me into a hug and I smiled.
"Hey," I stepped inside and was greeted by the smell of cookies. "I figured we could just drive together, do you mind if Bear stays here for a bit?"
"No, that's okay." He paused before looking back at me. "Did you say goodbye to Harry this morning?" I could hear the guilt in his voice and I nodded.
"He'll be back before you know it." He placed a kiss on my forehead and shrugged a sweater on. "Sara's in the shower but she knows I'm going, so we're good." I turned to the door before patting Bear on the head.
"Be good." He tilted his head and I pulled the door open, my dad following me to my car.
"Are you nervous?" He asked and I shrugged, pulling out. "He's been clean for a few months now." I rolled my eyes at his comment.
"Awesome." My sarcasm made my dad frown slightly.
"Just be nice," he reminded and I sighed.
"I know."
I wasn't sure why Zach even wanted to talk but I am sure it'll be entertaining. We got out of the car and made a short trip into the restaurant, my heart rate increasing.
"Ron?" I heard a raspy voice and my head whipped around to see the bald headed man I've hated for years.
"Zach." We moved to sit down and my dad placed a hand on mine.
"How've you be-" I interrupted him before he could continue.
"Don't start, why are you here?" My dad glared at me and I raised my eyebrows.
"I just want to apologize. I never should have been there that night, it was unfair. I shouldn't have any part of what she was doing to Joe," I shut my eyes at the mention of his name. Zach wasn't making any sense and I immediately regretted coming. "I just want to say I'm sorry."
"Were you the one who started her on it?" My dads voice cracked and I looked down.
"I, yeah, I was there." My blood boiled and I sat up straight.
"Did you offer it to her?" I snapped, my dad telling me to relax.
"She asked me if I knew where to get any coke and I took her back to my place, she took some and went home." My dad ran a hand through his hair and I hugged. "And eventually we were doing it everyday, I had no idea she had a family." Zach's eyes were filled with tears.
"Why were you there that night?" I asked, a tear running down my cheek.
"We were high off our minds, she told me Joe had been acting out, I had never, I would never," he trailed off my dads jaw clenched.
"And when she overdosed?" Everyone at the table silenced before Zach found his voice.
"She just kept going, I told her to stop. She had gotten into a fight earlier with a girl and was so angry," he bit on his knuckle, tears streaming down his face. "She wouldn't stop." He finished and leaned back.
"You don't get to cry." I mumbled. "You did that to her." My dads gaze caught mine and he shook his head.
"Is that all?" I could hear the hurt in my dads voice and I stood up.
"I'm just so sorry." My heart broke at his words and I watched as he pulled something out of his jacket pocket. "This is my 90 day chip, I just wish I had of gotten this before." My dad placed a hand on his arm and I pursed my lips.
"We've got to get going." My dad raised to his feet and I smiled at Zach.
"Thank you, for some answers, closure." I said and he nodded.
"Anything," we all reached the door and he sent a small smile. "Good luck with everything coming." He said, getting into a taxi and we waved.
"Closure." I repeated and my dad side hugged me.
