Ellie
"Ellie? You came in," my dad asked as he walked past my desk, it had been a week since he came in my room and a week and a bit since I had been at work.
"Yeah, wanted out of the house." I looked back at the computer. I saw him nod out of the corner of my eye and I bit my lip, shutting my eyes for a second. "I'm okay, dad."
"I know, you're a tough girl." I smiled quickly and sighed. "They're coming in around 2, just so you know." My chest tightened but I nodded.
"Okay," I whispered and he gave me a sympathetic smile before walking away. It's going to be a long day.
Harry
"Take 15," the recorder spoke into the microphone and we all took off our headphones, thanking him.
I stepped out of the recording room and made my way down the familiar hallway.
I turned the corner to be met face to face with Ron.
"Where are you going?" He asked, taking a step back.
"I - just - the, washroom." I stuttered and he shook his head.
"Harry. You aren't going to see her." His voice was stern.
"I haven't seen her-" I started but he stopped me.
"In a week, I know. I was the one who had to pick her up off her bedroom floor because she had thrown herself and her sheets off the bed, why? Because they smelt like you." His voice was getting slightly louder and I shook my head.
"How is she?" My voice cracked and he looked down.
"She barely eats anymore, she's lost weight and she's cried so much her eyes look like she's stoned out of her mind." I half expected him to laugh and tell me he was joking, but he kept a straight face.
"Sir, please, please, just let me see her." I begged and he grabbed my arm, pulling me out from the hallway. He pointed to a desk where the familiar black haired girl was sitting, with her back to us.
"Now you've seen her, go." Ron pushed my arm away and I stumbled back into the hall. My heart was aching and I wanted so badly to just wrap my arms around her again.
"Harry, now." He mumbled, looking back at her now empty desk. I stood still and when she turned the corner and her eyes met mine I took a breath that I had been holding.
"Oh, here dad." She quickly turned around and walked away after handing him something and just as I was about to walk towards her, Ron grabbed my arm.
"Let her go, Harry." I nodded, pushing my hair back.
"She needs to eat, please get her something to eat." I whispered to Ron and he sighed, nodding his head.
"You're a good guy Harry, I want you to fight for her, just, not right now." I heard footsteps behind us and soon enough Liam was standing beside me.
"Ready, mate?" He smiled, trying to lighten the situation, already knowing what happened.
"Thank you, Mr. Harty." I said before turning around and walking back with Liam.
"She's so fucking skinny." I told him and he sighed.
"Fix it then." Liam stopped walking and I stopped as well. "You've broken her heart and trust me, I know she broke yours too, but you have all of us to help you, she has no one. Help her, who cares what Ron says, you're the only other person she has."
I smiled at Liam and he patted my back. "Let's finish quickly," he pulled me into the studio.
Ellie
He's growing a beard.
When I saw him, he had a scruff and it was really fucking hot.
I heard my dad stop him from walking after me but there's a small part that wishes my dad wasn't there, just because I'm curious to see what Harry has to say.
"Thanks for coming in today, El." My dad kissed my temple as a sat on the bar stool.
"Ohhh, no problem." I slurred, putting my sprite bottle filled with vodka on the counter.
"Honey," he looked at the bottle before his face softened. "Please don't do this again," I could see how hurt he was but I just shrugged.
"Dad, it's just tonight, I just need a night." I lied to him. It had been the past four nights while he was at Sara's, he just didn't know.
"Call Harry, you guys need to get over this." He told me before leaving the kitchen.
I stared at my phone before picking it up, my fingers hovering above his name. I hit the button and it immediately started ringing.
"Hello?" His raspy voice filled the speaker and I could tell he was sleeping.
"Hi, baby," I said back, unsure as to why I had called.
"Ellie? Are you okay," I heard him sit up and I laughed.
"No," I continued to laugh and he sighed.
"Are you drunk?" My mind was fuzzy and I nodded before realizing he couldn't see me.
"As a skunk," I told him, taking a sip from the bottle. My stomach was tingling but I didn't know if it was because of Harry or because of the alcohol.
"Can I come over, I just want to see you." From what I could hear in the background, it sounded like he was already in his car, so I agreed.
"Mhmm," I hummed, chugging back the bottle and setting the plastic on the counter. "I don't know where my dad is," I thought out loud, walking around.
"His car isn't in the driveway," I heard Harry mumble and I turned to the door. I hung up the phone and placed it on the table.
"Mmm, you look sexy," I put my hand on his cheek and he shook his head, dimples prominent in his cheeks as he smiled.
"You're very drunk," he said, running a finger across my bottom lip.
"Have been since you left my house last week," I whispered, looking down.
"I'm going to stay in the spare room and tomorrow, we're going to wake up and you'll be sober and we're going to talk." He led me up the stairs and I nodded.
I fell into the wall and he shook his head, laughing. "Why are you drinking again?" His voice filled the hall and I shrugged.
"Drink until it all goes numb," I told him and he stopped walking before looking at me. "I have to drink so I feel nothing. I didn't want to live without you anymore," my eyes watered and my lip quivered.
"Ellie, I love you always, you know that." He kissed my forehead and I smiled.
"I love you too, but it doesn't help."
