Chapter 13 - He Got A Plan

Walang mga cubicle dahil private CR ito.

Sa taas ng toilet bowl ay isang maliit na sliding window. It has a black frame and is currently opened. Dahil nakatapat ito sa bowl, you can easily get there by stepping on the tank or reservoir of the toilet bowl.

I checked closely to see if it has anything unusual. Parang wala. But I'm not satisfied. Maybe, I can come back here tonight.

Bigla kong naalala, naiihi pala ako.

Matapos kong mag-CR, bumalik ako sa office at si Matt, ayon nagpapaka-workaholic.

"Matt, can I disturb you for a while?" paalam ko nang makabalik ako sa sofa.

" Sure! What is it?" sambit niya without looking at me.

"For sure, nalinisan na 'yung CR after the incident with Dad!" I said but I sounded like I'm asking.

Napa-lingon siya sa sinabi ko.

"Yes! Kinailangang linisan."

"Eh 'yung sliding window do'n nakabukas ba talaga?"

Napatigil siya sa kaniyang ginagawa.

"The sliding window..." sambit niya.

And I can see based on his expression that he's trying to recall something.

"...Pag ginagamit ko kasi 'yung CR 'pag nagagawi ako rito, parang bukas naman lagi 'yon pero hindi kasi sa lahat ng oras napapansin ko 'yang bintana. At minsan lang ako gumagamit niyang CR."

"Pwede kasi 'yang maging passage eh! As I observed, it's big enough for a medium-sized person to fit in."

Napa-isip siya sa sinabi ko.

"And I think that explains why no stranger were seen on the CCTV as per police report," dagdag ko.

"Pero bro..." sambit niya with a sour face.

"...diba nasa 12th floor tayo? How can a person possibly get inside through that window? Ang taas-taas."

Napa-patong ako ng kamay sa aking chin habang nag-iisip.

"You have a point. But we still can't disregard this hangga't hindi natin napapatunayan that there's no fast and efficient way to get inside using that window," I answered.

Tumango-tango naman siya. Samantala, I started checking the profile of the employees again.

"Sabagay! Siguro dapat mong maka-usap ang mga janitor para maka-kuha ka pa ng lead or clues," he suggested.

"Yes! That's what I'm supposed to do kaya hinahanap ko sila rito," turo ko sa list.

"Kung hindi ako nagkakamali, Herman Quines ang pangalan ng head ng janitor dito."

"You know him?"

"He came here once to check the CR  when I happened to be here."

Tumango-tango ako at hinanap ko sa list.

"Ah yeah! He's in the list," I responded.

After that, muli siyang nag-focus sa paperworks.

Matapos ang ilang minuto, nagsalita siya.

"May memorandum dito galing sa isang food corporation. They have a proposition about their new product. They want to exclusively sell it first in our store and they want you to meet up with them for collaboration."

Napalingon ako sa kaniya at muli siyang nagsalita.

"This is a very good opportunity to increase our mall's visitors and to build consumers' trust so we need to approve this."
