"You get married tomorrow!" Leia exclaims, as Rey sets her trey on the table next to us and sits down. "Are you excited? I mean, of course, you're excited! But are you nervous at all?!"

"Honestly? I'm terrified." Rey admits. "Ever since Finn and I got engaged, so many bad things have been happening! We really think that we're cursed."

"Cursed?" I question, she nods. "Curses aren't real, Rey."

Leia laughs, "Oh, curses aren't real? Really, Luke, really?"

"What?" I ask. "What's so bad about not believing in curses?!"

"Nothing, I guess!" Leia exclaims. "But the Skywalker's are cursed. Literally everyone in this galaxy knows it. You especially should know that!"

"Yeah, I have to agree with Aunt Leia," Rey says. "your guys's lives suck. And I should know, I'm a Skywalker. My life is- well, was awful."

"Was?" I snort, and Rey gives me an offended look. "Your life still is awful, my little Rey of Sunshine."

"What?!" Rey asks, gasping. "No it's not! I have Finn."

"Yes, but your guys's lives still suck." I reply.

"Okay, first of all, offended." Rey huffs. "And second of all, you made an excellent point. But your life still sucks, too. And we are cursed."

I roll my eyes, "Whatever you say, Kyra,"

"Don't call me that!"

"That's your legal name."

Rey shrugs, "True,"

"Hello," Han greets, walking towards our table with his trey, Jyn and Cassian following behind. "Can we join you, or are you guys talking about some weird top secret Skywalker family stuff?"

Leia chuckles, "No, we're talking about curses."

"Curses?" Jyn asks. "What about curses?"

"They think we're cursed." I inform, rolling my eyes.

"Oh, yeah you guys are cursed," Jyn replies

"What!" I exclaim. "We are not cursed. Curses don't exist."

"Actually, they do." Han corrects. "And you definitely are."

Leia turns to me, "Told you so,"

"Wait a minute, why are we talking about curses anyway?" Cassian asks.

"Because we've been having terrible luck lately," Rey explains. "and I think we're either cursed or Finn and I aren't meant to be together."

"What?!" Cassian exclaims. "No no, you guys are definitely meant for each other!"

"No, that's not what I mean," Rey says. "I love Finn, and he loves me. But maybe we aren't meant to be married."

"If you don't marry marry him, then I would!" Cassian says, and in return we all give him amused looks. "No! That's not what I meant! I mean, it's nice to have someone who treats you like that." Cassian adds quickly.

"Hey! I treat you like that, you stupid dumb idiot." Jyn says, and Cassian looks down. "Oh, yeah, I guess maybe I could be a little bit nicer."

"But really, Rey, what do you think will happen?" Leia asks.

"I don't know," Rey admits. "I honestly don't know. Anytime anything good happens, though, bad follows, and the bad outnumbers the good. I guess I'm not used to things going as planned."

"Come on, Rey," Leia says. "Please don't back out of this! You two are meant for each other. I just know it."

"Yeah, yeah, you're right, Aunt Leia." Rey says. "I'm sorry! I'm just really worried."

"Yeah, and I'm sure things can't get any worse." Han says. "And what's the worst thing that could happen? Your wedding being interrupted by Sith, causing us to have to relocate again, and then a very major plot twist in this book? Rey, don't be silly! It's not like those sorts of things ever happen to us!"

Rey chuckles, "I know you're being sarcastic, Han, but you are probably right." She sighs. "I mean, things can't get worse, can they?"

"Finn, Finn!" I call, rushing towards hi . "Hey, Finn, I need to talk to you."

"Really?" Finn asks, turning towards me. "Because I was going to go check on Rey really-"

"No, it's bad luck to see the bride before the wedding." I cut him off, he opens his mouth to argue, but I stop him. "Believe me, I saw Jemma before our wedding and then we had terrible luck the years following. You and Rey don't deserve anymore bad luck."

Finn sighs, "Huh, fine, what do you need?"

"To talk to you about your marriage." I say, Finn looks annoyedly at the sky. "I know I've have you a billion of these talks, but I need to tell you this, because I don't want you to hurt Rey."

Finn hesitates, but nods slowly, letting me continue.

"I'm her father, and I was the very first person to break her heart," I explain. "I abandoned her right after her mom died. And I want to make sure you, under no circumstances, will ever abandon her or the family you guys may have."

"Luke, I've told you a billion times, I'll never leave her. I promise."

"You may 'promise' me this now, but promises can easily be broken." I reply. "If you do anything to hurt her, you'll have this whole entire base—well, hotel now, to deal with."

"Luke, I love Rey," Finn states. "she's what made me feel human. Without her, I'd be nothing. I'll never leave her, or the family we may have. I'll always love and take care of her. Please believe me on this."

"Well, love is just a word," I state. "but I know you do love Rey, and I trust you. But please never do anything to make her feel worthless."

"I won't, I swear."

I gasp, "Finn! Don't swear, you used to be such a great person!"

He gives me an unamused look.

"Okay, okay, I'll leave and take my dad-jokes with me." I say, laughing slightly. "See you at the wedding, Finn!"

"Okay! Bye!" Finn says, turning around and walking away.

I sigh.

Time to get ready for my daughters wedding, I guess.

I feel terrible for not writing sooner!

I started this chapter as soon as I published the last, but I just couldn't think of what to say or how to word stuff. I'm sorry!

And I'm really sorry if this chapter doesn't make sense.

Thank you all for reading, commenting, and voting. Y'all are awesome for sticking around this long.

Shoutout to Real_Nola_LaRue and Hannah_geek for once again helping me write this story. I think I should just dedicate this whole book to them, because they help me so much. 😂

(I didn't get a chance to run this through Grammarly, so if there's any mistakes, then please feel free to tell me!)
