Warning: Major Fluff ahead of you. You've been warned.

Life has been well.

Ever since Rey and I announced we are expecting and Rose and Caden got engaged the whole Resistance has been buzzing with excitement. Both events were a couple months ago- Rey is now eight months pregnant and the happily engaged couple is almost finished planning their wedding.

Today is a busy day.

We're finally decorating the nursery! A little late, I know, but it isn't exactly our main priority. When the twins come they'll sleep in our room, we're only decorating it now because we want it to be perfect. "What color should the curtains be?"

"Ummm... how about purple?" I say.

Rey smiles. "I was thinking the exact same thing."

Just as Rey disappears back into the nursery, the Andor-Dameron family walks in. "Hey," Lyra greets. "Rey told me you guys were decorating today? Need any help?"

"If you want," Rey peeks her head out of the room.

"Oooh, I wouldn't be the one helping." Lyra says. "Decorating has never been my thing." she points to Poe. "It's his thing."

He nods. "I can help."

"Sounds great!" Rey replies. "Which color do you think the walls-"

"So," Lyra sits down on the couch. "It's getting close, huh?"

I lean against the kitchen counter. "Yeah... feels like just yesterday Nathan told me and Poe that Rey was pregnant." A sigh. "You know... after he kidnapped her and all."

"That's a lovely story."

"Isn't it?" I say. "Uh, Lyra, can I tell you a secret?"

"What is it?"

"I'm scared."

Lyra gives a small smile. "Don't be." she says. "You'll be fine."

"Can you believe we are about to be parents?"

The excitement I hear in Rey's voice eases my worries a bit. If she, the girl who was quite literally abandoned by her father seconds after she watched her own mom die, can be not terrified about this then so can I. I turn towards her and smile. "Just a little over a month and we'll be holding them in our arms."

Rey smiles. "I can't wait."

"Me neither." I lie. Yeah. I want to hold my babies but I can't shake the fear. What if I fail them? What if they hate me? "But, Rey?"

"Yeah?"

"Are you scared?"

"Are you?"

"I'm terrified."

Rey sighs. "Of course I'm scared!" she laughs. "But, remember what you told me when I first found out?" I nod. "You do? Well, I'm still going to tell you in case the readers forgot. We may have messed up families but that doesn't mean we'll be bad parents. Feel any better?"

"Uh, a little." I say. "I still am scared."

"That's fine." Rey says. "I am too."

That night I fall asleep easily.

For the first time in weeks I sleep soundly. No nightmares or force visions. Nothing. But then I feel a sharp slap on the side of my face and suddenly I'm awake.

"Finn!" Rey hisses, face panicked. "Finn! Wake up!"

"What?" I ask, sitting up. "Are you okay?"

"It's time." she says. "The babies are coming."

Yeah so the next couple of chapters are extremely fluffy (who knew writing FinnRey babies would be so cute? Not me) But anyway, I hope you enjoyed this chapter. Next one is finished and should be up in a second.
