"It's freezing," Rey says, a shiver in her voice as she sits down. "I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I miss the heat of Jakku."

I chuckle slightly, placing my tray down at the table. "You don't mean that, do you?"

"No, I don't," she admits. "I miss nothing about that stupid planet."

"Didn't think so," I state, a small smile on my face.

"Hey, Finn?" She asks.

"What?" I ask her, although I believe I already know what she's going to ask.

"About...our wedding," she says. "I think maybe we should postpone it."

And I was right.

My smile disappears, and I pause, taking in the information.

Sure, things have been crazy these past few weeks, but postpone our wedding? What if the attack turns into a war? What if we have to keep postponing the wedding? What if... what if one of us doesn't make it to the wedding?

I shake my head slightly after that terrible thought comes into mind.

"I mean, I understand if you don't want to, but so many things have been going on, and our wedding would only be in two months if we didn't." She pauses. "I don't know... I just am afraid, if we didn't, that there'd be another attack, and our guests would die, and that'd cause too much guilt to deal with."

"That's a great point." I reply. "But if we wait, something could still happen to them, and  something could happen to one of us."

"That's also a great point. She states, sighing. "Goodness, Finn, what do we do?"

"Move our wedding up, get married here, while we're still safe, and I guess that's all." I suggest. "Look, Rey, I hate it, too. But I want to make sure we get married before something happens."

"I know." She says. "I want to be your wife, I want to get married to you."

"And I want to be your husband."

Rey chuckles slightly. "You realize, if we get married here, without any decorations, Rose will probably kill us, right?"

"Ehh, yeah." I say. "Who has to tell her, though?"

Rey and I stare at each other for a minute, giving each other warning looks.

"Not it!"

"Not it!"

Rey smiles.

"Dang it!"

"Ah, calm down, I'm sure she'll be fine with it."

~

"I'm not fine with it!" Rose snaps. "There is no way I'm letting the two of you get married in this hellhole without any decorations or outfits!"

"Hey!"

"Sorry, Mr. Andor!" Rose calls. "Anyway, I don't know why you guys are so desperate, but we NEED to get you guys married somewhere nicer. You guys have had very sucky lives, you deserve something not-so-sucky."

"Hey!" Rey and I exclaim, offended.

"Who are you kidding?" Rose asks.

"Good point."

She sighs. "Look, you guys deserve a special day. Not some icy snow war crap like you want. Why can't you just get married on the original date?"

"Because, what if someone dies?" I ask. "Or the base is under attack, or-"

"Shh, shh, shh," She says, covering my mouth. "Quiet. Rose won't let that happen."

"Why are you talking about yourself in third person?" Rey asks, a smirk appearing on her face. "Rey thinks it's weird."

"And Poe agrees." Poe states, walking in. "What are we talking about?"

"We are talking about their wedding." Rose replies, pointing between Rey and I. "You are just getting in the way."

"Um... excuse me?" Poe asks. "I'm a delight. Anyone would be happy to have me in their conversation."

"Okay, okay," Rose sighs. "fine. Can you talk these two into not getting married here and just tell them to wait until the date they picked out?"

"You guys should just wait until then." Poe says. "Did I do a good job?"

"Yes, Poe, you did an excellent job." Rose says, turning back to us. "Now, you two peanuts, you guys shouldn't rush it. You can't think like that, anyway. I'm sure there won't be an attack in the middle of the ceremony."

I sigh. Maybe she's right. Maybe that fire at the base wasn't an attack. Maybe, hopefully, we'll be fine.

"What's the worst that can happen?"
