Day 90
----------------------------------------------------
=============================Scott sat at the table in the kitchen area of the small rooms Lucas had him locked in. He was sat looking at his hands as he waited for Lucas to come by soon with his food. Scott didn't get a chance to try out his odd 'power' on Lucas yesterday as he had just pushed the food in through the door and shouted for Scott to collect it before he locked the door and left for the night. Scott hoped that Lucas would enter into his little domain this morning and if he didn't he was hopefully close enough to catch him at the door and try and bring his brother back from being a maniac.
Scott had spent most of the night wondering how he was going to be able to try this out, most of the times when it happened were when he was scared, but when he tried it on his father - and he was terrified at the time - it didn't work. So, he hoped that when his brother turned up with food he could find a way to make it work.
He was already sure that reminding Lucas of who he was - or is - would help to break Eveline's apparent control over him. Scott mindlessly traced the lines of his palms as he thought about what to say to his brother when he actually turned up. 'I need to make it seem like a normal day... It's October, so I could start by reminding Lucas of his birthday which was at the start of this month... the inventions we built together... the movie nights we used to have in the guest house-', Scott was brought out of his thoughts by beeping from the door. Scott pushed away from the table and craned his neck to look at the door.
He watched Lucas's hooded figure push the door open and march in carrying a plate of food, his hooded head snapped to look at Scott when he noticed him sitting at the table he didn't say anything just carefully made his way over to him. "Hey, Lucas", Scott carefully said as he stopped leaning in his chair as his brother walked over to him.
Lucas looked at him sceptically and just put the plate on the table without a word, "you at least gonna say hi back?", Scott asked as he looked at the plate and food on the plate, 'this may be harder than I first thought if he ain't gonna talk back', he thought as he picked up the spoon on the plate to dig into the food in the plastic container.
As Scott was about to start eating Lucas suddenly asked, "what the hell's wrong with you?".
Scott looked up from his food and looked up at Lucas confused, "nothing... why?",
"Yesterday you were shouting at me, now you're acting like I'm not keeping you locked in here", Lucas replied as he carefully looked Scott up and down.
"So I can't say hi to my older brother?" Scott replied as he turned away to look at the food, so Lucas didn't see how nervous he was starting to become from Lucas seeming sceptical with what he was trying to do.
"I'm not your brother", Lucas hissed at him,
"Whatever", Scott replied and dug out a lump of food with his spoon and ate it, "you can sit, I ain't going anywhere", to empathise his point Scott tapped his false leg onto the wooden boards. Lucas was quiet for a long time and Scott waited for Lucas to do something and hopefully not something that would hurt him because Lucas didn't trust why Scott was acting like nothing was wrong at all with the whole situation of him being locked up in the rooms.
But thankfully Lucas ripped the chair out from under the table and sat down next to him, Scott glanced up at Lucas and found he was sitting a fair distance from him and was carefully watching him from underneath his hood with his arms crossed tight over his chest. 'Damn you for being smart, Lucas', Scott grudgingly thought as he quickly averted his eyes to carry on eating his food.
