The helicopter took them straight to the mines. Taking the elevator down, Scott could tell everyone was nervous as some of them put on their helmets supplied to them by Umbrella. Everyone was checking their guns and ammunition as they descended into the mines. Scott checked the handgun on his hip, the knife on his leg and finally the heavy assault rifle he held in his hands. Scott wasn't good at knowing the names of the guns, only knowing how to operate them, the other recruits used to laugh and joke about him never being able to tell the difference between them.

As the elevator came to a stop, Scott took a deep breath as he finally put his helmet on. The screen flickered to life as it began its startup sequence. The Blue Umbrella logo appeared before changing to the main hub, Scott's heart monitor appeared in the bottom left corner and audio in the top right.

"Ok, everyone on me", one of the Umbrella guys - who didn't want to give his name - said as he started to head into the mine with his gun raised. Rowan and the second Umbrella soldier followed behind him, Scott took another deep breath as he raised his gun, which felt unbearably heavy in his hands as he brought up the rear of the group. They wondered the tunnels for a while. Coming to dead ends and being made to turn back. They came across monsters who wobbled towards them, with massive long arms and sharp claws and teeth. Scott had to try and force the memories of being dragged through the house by the same stuff they were made up off.

After taking another wrong turn they came to an opening. The ceiling became higher and to their right was a metal walkway going across the opening, with stairs leading up to it. Scott carefully followed the others up the stairs. They could only walk across the walkway, towards a single door. "You two stay here", the guy who had taken charge of the group said as he pointed at Scott and the other Umbrella soldier. "We'll investigate further", he carried on as he pulled the door open and checked no one was on the other side before entering. Rowan followed him and let the door shut behind them.

Scott and the other guy stood on either side of the door waiting for the leader to give them the signal to move forward with them or that they were in trouble. "Hey?", the other guy said getting Scott's attention, "you scared?" he asked.

"No...", Scott replied, "you?",

"A little", the guy replied, even though the radio of his helmet made his voice sound fuzzy Scott could hear the nervousness in his voice. "First mission?", Scott asked him,

"Y-yeah", the guy nervously replied,

"It gets easier after your first mission. What's your name?", Scott asked him.

"Jack", the guy replied.

"Scott", he told him as he nodded his head, "you'll get through this don't worry".

Before the guy could say anything they heard Rowan's voice through the radio, "main base we've found a lab down here. The files down here seem to be centred around the something called E-type mutamycete. Sending pictures of the files over now. Can you see if you can find out if this stuff is dangero-".

A loud bang sounded through the transmission, making static screech in Scott's ears. Instantly Scott put his hand up to the side of his helmet as the static roared in his ear. Soon the static was cut off and gunshots could be heard. "Somethings wrong, come on", Scott said as he tore the door opened and entered with his gun raised. The room was lined with plastic and filled with rubbish. No one was in the first room, "they must have gone further come on", Scott said as he moved to the door on their right.

As Scott was about to open the door it was pushed open and hit him in the face. Scott staggered back as someone in a jacket with their hood up, pushed through the door and went for Jack. Scott turned and raised his gun to the guy who had barged in, Jack was already shooting him but it looked like bullets were doing nothing to him.

Scott fired his gun and riddled the guys back full of bullets, but it seemed to do nothing to him. Scott watched in horror as he picked Jack up off the floor and threw him across the room with such strength that when Jack hit the wall there was a loud crack as if the stone wall had broken beneath him. As Jack crumbled to the ground the plastic fell down off the wall and on top of him. Showing the massive crack in the wall.

Scott shook his head and focused on the guy that had thrown Jack. Swapping his gun for his knife Scott attacked him, stabbing his knife into the guy's shoulder. The guy just laughed as Scott pulled the knife out his shoulder. Scott felt his blood run cold and he watched as his heart monitor on the helmets hub start to speed up. "That's not going to work", his brother told him as he turned to him.

"Lucas?", Scott said just before his brother grabbed his throat and picked him up off the floor.

"Well now, I feel rude. You know my name... But I don't know yours", Lucas told him as he looked right into Scott's mask. His eyes were wild and crazy. Scott could never get his murderous look out of his mind since he left, but this was a whole new level to his madness.

"Lucas...", Scott chocked out, "it's me...",

Scott watched as Lucas turned his head to the side, before letting out a shrill laugh and throwing him across the room as well. Scott crashed into a pile of rubble that was in the room. His body hurt all over as he tried to get up off the floor. 'He's stronger than before... what's happened to you', Scott thought as he looked up at Lucas who was walking over to him.

"Well look who finally decided to come home", Lucas said as he strutted over to him, "you've got a lot to catch up on", Lucas laughed his mad murderous laugh, Scott watched in horror as he lifted his foot off the ground and smashed it down on Scott's head.

"Nat?", Chris asked confused on why she was calling him, as he answered the call from his desk.

"Chris I don't have a lot of time", Nat instantly told him, "I think Scott is in danger", she started as she held the picture up to the camera. "Does this boy look familiar?", she asked him.

Chirs was silent for a few moments as he leaned forward slightly to try and get a better look at the picture she was showing him. It was a family picture, of a mother and father with there three kids and the youngest son look strikingly familiar to the 17-year-old he saved three years ago. "Is that... Scott", he carefully asked her and he watched Nat nod.

"This picture was recovered from coronal Smith's body, he had taken this and other pictures from the Bakers ranch where Blue umbrella believe the B.O.W is. Scott used to live here. He used to live here at the Bakers ranch", Nat told him, "Scott was brought in three years ago by you-".

"And the B.O.W they've been looking for has been missing in that area for over three years", Chris finished.

"Do you think  Scott came into contact with B.O.W before you picked him up off the streets?", Nat asked him.

"That's a risk I'm not taking, I'm coming over now", Chris declared as he ended the call and pushed away from his desk and gathered his gear. "I knew I shouldn't have let him go. I knew it!", Chris raged as he grabbed his bag and left his room, slamming his door shut behind him.
