Dalilah appeared as soon as I exited the castle and hugged me joyously. "With his death, all his followers have withered away back to their original states as mere pickles," she informed me,while we made our way through town. "The people can finally crown a new king and not live in fear any more thanks to you Faye," she finished off. We had made it to a different part of town, one that I hadn't seen, one where children were begging in the streets wearing nothing but rags for clothes, these people had obviously not eaten or had proper lifestyles for a long time with mud and filth covering their entire selves. My eyes stung from the sight that lay before me.
Dalilah led me to the middle of town where a stage was, I stood behind her not quite sure of what to do or how to go about announcing what it is that I have done, she then grabbed me by the arm pulling me forward and gave me a knowing look.
Clearing my throat I began, "Hello my name is Faye I was chosen for some reason, even though I am merely a kid, to save the people of Dillopickle. The king is dead and with him those that have terrorized you for years, you are free, a new king will be crowned when the title has found a person worthy of it. No longer will you starve, no longer will you live in fear of your loved ones dying, I have saved you all and only wish your futures to be filled with happiness and prosperity."As Delilah led me off the stage a slow roar of claps began until you could hear no other sound, we managed to make our way through town and reached the edge of the rolling green hills I had seen before.
"You've completed your mission Faye, it is time for you to return back to Earth." With that being said she gave me a sad smile and laid her hand on my forehead, the same tingling and numbing sensation took over my body as I could comprehend being laid on a green ray of light
as the world goes black.
I awoke in my own house, in my own bed and for a moment I thought it all must have been a dream until the sunlight shining through the window reflected off the beautiful green pendant still around my neck, a token that will remind me that I once became the hero to so many, because of my pickle jar destiny.********************************************************************
