This story begins with a young girl.
This girl looked like any other,
Tall, red hair, blue eyes, a kind smile;
Nothing was out of the ordinary about her.
She held herself strong and never let things bring her down.
Her kind words were heard by all she was close to,
Striving to bring happiness to everyone she could.
She seemed to always have a smile on her face,
But behind that smile hid an unknown darkness surrounding her mind.
She never saw herself as anything more than average.
To her, her life was black and white;
The only color being her friends.
Unfortunately, over time even those colors began to fade.
Soon only gray was left in their place.
On the outside, she never showed it.
She didn't let anyone see what was happening in her mind.
She couldn't let anyone see.
She carried on her days like nothing was wrong;
Acting as though she had a perfect life.
In sense, she did.
She had almost everything she could want.
Good friends, a loving middle class family, and enough money for her hobbies.
She had all she could want.
Yet inside she felt cold and alone.
There was a piece of her missing that no amount of money could fill.
She believed she was crazy.
Selfish, spoiled, unable to see what she had.
But the reality was that she knew it all but it wasn't what she wanted.
She needed something that couldn't be offered by family or bought.
She didn't know what it was, so she kept searching.
Time passed on and she was only getting worse.
She perfected her fake smiles and happy facade.
No one could tell anymore.
Then, one day, she met one person who saw through her.
They were a just like her.
Damaged, broken, lost in the dark.
Lonely.
She became like glass to them.
They saw what she silently fought and accepted her.
Just like that, the darkness began to fade.
The shadows that became her prison bars vanished.
Light entered her world once again.
This light, was the love she felt for the person.
This person became the girl's beacon of hope.
The two fell in love and found peace in the other.
It was like a fairy tale.
A true dream come true.
The duo became the perfect team,
Always at each other's side.
Their love grew over the years.
Hardships beat them down but nothing broke them.
They had already survived the worst alone.
Now, everything was a little easier
They had someone to back them through everything.
Today, the two are still happily in love,
Always there for each other through it all.
Their love has lasted for 2 years now.
The girl hopes that this love lasts forever.
Till death do them part.I love you Max.
Happy Anniversary!————
So my 2 year anniversary was just the other day!
I wrote this for my dear girlfriend who has changed my life in such a short amount of time.
I have no idea where I'd be without them.
This more was just a little thing I wrote in class while thinking about them and what I was like before we met.Anyways, I hope you enjoyed my little sappy poem! Thanks for reading everyone!
