Friend from the other side

     Peony stared blanking at the bottoming the bunk above. For being on the run it was extremely boring. "Cinderrrrrr," she whined. "I'm bored." She got up and walked to where ever Cinder was. Most likely in the engine room.
    "Well you could help me with this problem." She started to mumble about Thorne not keeping the ship in good condition.
    "I'm not that bored. I'm going to look for nail polish." She wandered off. Iko popped up. "Ohhh. I think Captain has some paint and small paint brushes. That is close enough right?"
    "Good idea, Iko." Cinder came running in. "YOU ARE NOT PUTTING PAINT ON YOUR NAILS!"
    "It's the same as polish isn't?" Peony asked.
    "No. No it's not." (It might but we are gonna have Cinder go all mom on Peony.)
    "Ok ok fine." I will go help Thorne with whatever... maybe." Cinder laughed walking back to the room.
   She went onto her port and looked up Scarlet Benoit.

  Peony became interested. She looked up Scarlet Benoit hospital records.

  She then contacted an internet friend.

    'I will do what I can. What is it?'

    'Can you open up files for me.'

  "Let's try this again." Peony said under her breath. She opened up the link sent to her.

   "Ok enough stalking this person." She said under her breath. "Hey Cinder!" She yelled.
    "Coming." You could hear here clanking foot. "Yup?" She came into the cockpit.
   "I did some digging on this Scarlet Benoit...."
   "And?"
   "Well for one thing her and her grandmother are the only people who have information on them and are still alive."
   "Ok."
   "And neither her or her father or her father have hospital records til they were four." That caught Cinder's attention. "Really? I'm trying to get info but nothing is coming up."
    Am I gonna get caught? Peony wondered.
   "Whatever. Maybe you just have a friend from the other side." She laughed and walked away to Thorne.
   "Yeah. A friend from the other side."

  Cinder and Thorne got into another argument.
    "What do you mean they didn't see us? You have a naked lady painted on this stupid ship!"
   "Ouch!" Iko yelled. "That hurt, because you know. I'm the stupid ship."
  "The ship is stupid not you." Cinder waved her hand in the air.
   "Don't listen to her. You are beautiful and nonstupid." Thorne cooed at Iko. Peony skipped up to them. "What didn't see us?" She tried to look over Thorne and Cinder.
    "A ship. A freaking Commonwealth ship!"
   Peony sneaked back to the port.
  
   'Are you doing it?'
 
  'Doing what? I do many things you might want to be more clear.'

  'Keeping all ships from seeing us.'

   'Well not seeing, But just under the radar. Please don't tell your sister.'

  'What?'

  'Oh that sounds creepy. I know who you are and your sister and your captain for that matter. But if Cinder knew I was doing it I feel like she would loose hope. And she is one of the few people we need a lot of hope from, Peony.'

   'Who are you.'

  'My name is... I better not tell my name.'

   'Why?'

'It could kill some innocent people.'

'What are you?'

'I don't know if I should tell you.'

'I won't tell anyone. I promise.'

  'I'm a hacker.'

  'Well duh. But for who.'

  'I must go. My mistress is here. If she knew I had contact with the outside worlds it could all coming down. Just tell Cinder about the D-Comm chip once you have Scarlet. Good-bye until next time.'

"D-comm chip?" Peony said under her breath.
"What?" Cinder asked. "Nothing!" Peony said with a smile.
As she walked off back to her room she started to talk to herself. "What the heck is a d-comm chip?"
