Wolf forced Scarlet on his back as they ran to get a good place to jump on the train. She never felt so happy, the wind in her hair and face, someone caring about her, and a freaking piggyback ride. Who doesn't love those?
Wolf climbed onto a log. "Get ready." She nodded. "Thank you." She said and then kissed his cheek. She had never felt someone become so tense because of a kiss. Then she remembered the kiss of second grade...
The train came speeding by. Wolf jumped up to an open compartment (that was conveniently open like in every movie and tv show). Never had she been so scared in her life when they made it. Well he made it she fell back. "Wolf!"
"Scarlet!" He yanked at her hand, with one pull she was on the wooden floor. "I'm sorry. I slipped. I wasn't paying attention... Scarlet?"
"I'm fine. I'm alive aren't I?" He breathed a sigh of relief.
"I need to tell you something..." They both said at the same time. "You go first." Scarlet waved at him.
"Ok. Just, I understand if you'll hate me after this." She laughed. "I'm too tired to hate right now."
"Good. Ok here we go. I... I'm a... a... imalunar." She pushed herself up. "What?"
"I'm a lunar." She started at him for what felt like forever.
"Princess Selene is alive." She said quietly. Moving closer to him. He straightened, "She is!" She slowly nodded.
He let out a laugh. "Good to know."
She started at him intensely. His eyes green as emeralds, his hair looked soft and messier than before. She put a hand against a scare on his cheek. She moved closer to his ear. And very slowly she whispered, "Earth is better than Luna." Then pulled back and very lightly kissed his lips. So lightly it was like feathers passing his lips. He tensed again.
"Agreed" He breathed as he pushed a hand into her curls and kissed her again.
