"Jess?" I hear someone say in front of me.

I look up and see Daniel standing in front of me.

Did he really just follow me all the way here?

"Are you okay?" He asks sitting down next to me.

I drop my feet on the floor.

"Me? Yes... My parents? No" I look down.

"What happened?"

"They got in a plane crash, they're not doing well" I say with a shivering voice.

Daniel doesn't answer he just pulls me into a hug. I feel myself starting to cry again not knowing what to do.

"I have to go back to New York, but the last flight of the day just took off... W-what if they don't make it, i need to see them"

"You'll take the first flight tommorow, don't worry your parents won't just give up om you like that"

"But they said it was really bad... I have to see them"

"You will, i promise. I'll even come with you if you want to"

I pull away and look at him.

"Thank you Daniel"

"No problem" He smiles. "The others are waiting outside, let's go" He says getting up.

I get up too and follow him outside. When we get in no one asks what's up which i'm kinda relieved about. I lay my head on Daniels shoulder staying silent. And before we roll up at the house i fall into a deep sleep.

Daniels POV

We get in the car and everyone stays silent. I just now realise Corbyn and Christina didn't come along. Jess and i sit in the back next to Zach. After a while i feel something on my shoulder, Jess fell asleep with her head on me. I don't wake her up. It's been a long day especially after the news she got. When we get home i carefully pick her up and bring her to my room. I lay her down on my bed and look at her.

Dried tears on her cheeks, a little smudged make up next to her eye. But she still looks gorgeous.

She doesn't deserve any of the things that have happened to her.
She's such a nice girl.

I kiss her cheek and walk downstairs.

What is she doing to me?

I hear the boys talking in the kitchen and walk over to them, joining the conversation.

"Where's Jess?" Zach asks when i come in.

"Asleep in my bed" I sit down at the kitchen island.

"Oh i have a new roommate" Jack says

"Then where are you sleeping?" Jonah asks.

"Couch" I answer

"What happened at the airport though?" Jack asks.p

"She was trying to catch a flight to New York"

"Did you confess your feelings during your little talk what made her run off?" Zach chuckles.

"First of all i don't like her that way, second, we didn't talk. Her phone started ringing right when i was about to say something." I say glaring at him.

"Hold up, why are you lying to yourself. You definitely like her bro!" Jonah exclaims

"We're just good friends, and this is only the third time i've seen her in real life"

"And? You probably were liking her before she even came down to LA" Jack states.

"And why do you think that?"  I ask.

"Come on dude, you left a fucking meeting because you were worried about her" Jonah says.

"And let's not forget you're smiling like crazy everytime you're texting her"  Jack adds.

"And she's sleeping in your bed right now, do you think we're stupid?" Zach asks.

"Do you want a honest answer?" I ask.

They all roll their eyes.

"Anyways where are Corbyn and Christina?"

"You're even changing the subject right now"  Jack smirks.

"Just answer my question, gosh"

"At a hotel"

"Probably making babies at the moment" Zach states while getting stumped by Jonah.

"Well i think imma go to bed" Jack says.

"Same" Jonah and Zach say at the same time.

"I'll go to... couch i guess?"

The boys laugh and we walk out of the kitchen.
I sit down on the couch and unfold the blanket i took downstairs with me. I take my shirt off and lay down.
The boys say goodnight and go upstairs, talking about coupling Jess and i. I playfully roll my eyes and take my phone out.
I promised Jess i'd get her plane tickets so i book a flight to New York for her. Then i turn my phone off and look at the ceiling thinking about the conversation i had with the boys earlier.

Do i like her?
I mean... The boys do have a point.
But it would ruin our friendship which i don't want to happen.
She's going through a rough time tho so it isn't even smart to think about this.
