You have set me free,

from the rain clouds and misery,

and now it is only open blue skies.

I was trapped within my own head,

drowning in my own thoughts,

unable to find the surface.

But you found the key to my heart,

releasing the darkness and self-doubt,

and I feel more alive than ever.

I feel that I have the power to fly,

the power to stop trains,

and the power to feel again.

I trapped all those emotions inside of myself,

I thought someone had freed them earlier,

but instead they only opened it ajar.

You have flung open the door,

ushering me out and releasing my heart.

A tidal wave of emotions came roaring out.

No longer I feel the pain,

no longer I see only darkness,

and no longer I am the prisoner in my own head.

The only place I want to be,

is in your arms.

So safe and so strong.

I am not trapped anymore,

I am free.
