The raindrops fall from the sky
like angels falling from heaven.
Each one is uniquely different than the other,
each is beautiful in its own way.
The boom of the thunder shakes the ground
causing children to scream
and dogs to cower.
The rain falls faster on cue,
with the roar of the thunder.
Crack! The lightning flashes
as it hits the Earth with such power,
emotion
and beauty.
The winds howls
the rain cries
the thunder roars
and the lightning screams
in the dark world.
The climax of the storm is over
the rain patters softly
on the windowsill
of a sleeping child
who sleeps without worry
about the thunderstorm.
