I still got my charm.
I still got my smile.
I still got my goofyness.
But you don't have it anymore.
You missed out.
And I already,
captured some other boys' eyes.
You lose,
I win.
I met another boy
with consolation hair,
a dorky grin,
and a passion for music.
You want to know the difference?
It's honesty.
He is straight with me
and we are our own people.
We know our boundaries,
we have both been hurt,
stepped on
and cut through.
We are already broken,
but we are okay with it.
Unfortunately the timing is bad,
we both know we can't stand the distance,
but we were honest.
We know it can't work now.
He doesn't make promises
willy nilly,
he is so much more than you.
I can be independent
not needing someone else all the time
but it is nice to know,
I still got my charm.
With you,
I doubt you can be independent.
Good luck in the world,
fake promises are someday
going to bite you in the butt.
And I have no sympathy for you.
So get out of my head,
get the fuck out of my heart.
I'm back,
I still got my charm.
