Prologue
'I'll never marry before I'm 25, do you hear me? We live in the 21st century, you can marry whoever you want, whenever you want!' He yelled at his father. His father didn't agree.
'William, I'm still your father, and you are not responsible enough to make those choices by yourself!' He yelled back at him. William walked towards his room on the ship and shouted.
'Than that is my problem, and not yours! I have my own life!' He pulled the door shut behind him, making a loud noise as he did. He heard his father walk to his own room.
William let out a sigh. No way he was going to marry. He was turning 18 in a couple of months, his life had just started! His father needed a good heir to his company. Someone responsible, not someone who fooled around with dozens of girls every week. He understood, but further than that it didn't go. He didn't feel sympathy, mercy or love. He din't even pity him. The waves were crashing up high against the ship. Just why had he agreed to go on this cruise with his father? Everyone knew he and his father were no good match.
He opened the door and walked over the now empty deck. He felt the rain on his skin through his blouse. He leaned forwards, to see the waves smash against the boat. Further away, he saw lightning. He just stood there, while the waves got higher ad higher. No one dared to go on deck at this time and with this weather. Except for him. Storms were exciting. He just loved the feeling of rain falling on his skin. He didn't find this threatening at all. He was looking for a way to get lower, to be able to touch the waves. He leaned over a bit further. Right at that moment, a gust of rain and wind pushed him over the ship. He tried to grab the railing, but he missed it and fell down in the water. He held on to a piece of floating wood and screamed for help, but no one heard him.
