Chapter 5

The next day, I was getting ready for school when my phone rang.

"Chelsey, this is Detective Brians. I would like to meet with you this morning."

"I can't."

"Chelsey, this involves your sister. Tell you what, I'll find another person of interest and get you off the hook, if you visit me." He offered.

"And you'll leave the people I care about alone."

"Yes. No harm will come to Leo." He agreed.

"My parents too."

"Your sister thought they had stopped caring about both of you. Do you believe that too?"

"I don't know. I'll meet you at the police station." We hung up.

I found Detective Brians in his office. He put a cup of coffee in front of me. I left it there.

"Your sister seems to have disappeared." He announced.

"That's not news." I snapped.

"I mean from my radar."

"I've always known you were keeping track of her."

"Of course. I wouldn't let her out of my sight." He took a sip of coffee.

"How do you keep track of her?" I asked.

"I bugged her phone." He replied.

"You really are a creep." I mumbled.

"You want to find her just as much as I do."

"No I don't. I think it would be better if she wasn't found." I admitted. That made him smile.

"Are you afraid to fight her?

"No, I'm not at all." I lied.

"Really?"

"Yes and I'm ready to fight her." He still didn't believe me. A police woman busted through the door.

"Detective Brians, they've found a girl outside of town."

"Who?" He asked her. The woman's eyes fell one me. "She's fine."

"They found......" The woman trailed off.

"Who did they find?" Detective Brians demanded.

"Tiffany Walters."
