Chapter 22

I stayed in my seat, not looking at my sister. I wanted to stall for time.

"Did you ever love me, honestly?" I asked.

"I wasn't lying before when I told you that. I did love you very much." She replied.

"You just don't love me enough not to kill me."

"You're willing to kill me too." She pointed out.

"What you said before, you were wrong. Our parents do love us."

She shook her head. "Of course they love you. Everyone loves you."

"People love you too. You've just got to let them. Don't push them away."

"Why would I listen to you?" She growled. I knew it was time to make a move.

"Agitabit." The car started shaking. I ripped open the door and bolted out. My sister followed.

"Furtum aer ex pulmone exspirare." I felt my lungs running out of air. I gasped for breath. I knew she would kill me, if I let her.

"Turbo tonitruum." Thunder cracked across the sky. Lightning bolted around us. Rain poured from the clouds.

"You've learned a lot in the last few months."

"I had to defend myself." I said.

"You were always so ambitious. You have your good qualities, but you also have your flaws. For example, you let your heart get in the way. But do you want to know what I've learned, you're so much better off alone."

"Dolorem ad cerebrum." My sister clutched her head and crumpled to the ground. She regained herself, moving towards me. Anger shone in her eyes.

"Phantasiae."I saw my parents, Leo, Stanley, Maggie, and Ronnie. The people I cared about so much. They were there and then they were gone. I felt totally and utterly alone.

"Doesn't feel good, does it?" My sister sneered.

"You don't have to be alone." I whispered.

"I like it better that way." She responded.

"Furtum aer ex pulmone exspirare." My sister fell down again. "Partem combureret." The area around her became covered with flames. She looked up at me.

"Go ahead. Kill me." I stared at her for a second. The moment to kill her was right now.
